you only use Arch for the neofetch logo, admit it.

No, they do it because of peer pressure, mentally weak fucks.
No
Not really. I use Arch because it has a very thorough and active wiki, isn't bloated to shit with botnet, and is an overall good learning tool.
it makes me look cool
learning tool is a meme
set up and maintenance is sleek
no need to guess how to set shit up with the wiki
and since it only has packages you yourself installed, there's no need to guess when something breaks
but learning? that depends on how you use the system
I use it to establish my bona fides as a fat guy
Cant unsee the fatman
Nah, I use it for AUR. Also, Arch works perfectly on my machine
no, not really rajesh, I use it becuase of how fast it is, simpleness, AUR, no shitware preinstalled, etc.
I've used Arch on my main since highschool.
I'm thinking about switching to gentoo, though.
I'm a bit behind on updates, though.
Debian is better though
idk it is pretty cool
i use arch because no other distro has all the packages i need in repository by default (easiest to use in other words)
I use it for the packages and the package manager. That's all that fundamentally separates distribution.
...
i use arch because it is fairly minimal and has the best documentation i've ever come across for software
I wanted to use it but no 32 bit support anymore so I'm using Void. Would have gone with parabola but my wifi card is nonfree.
The wiki works for almost any distro
and Arch is bloat
Void is superior to arch anyway
Interesting, didn't know this was a thing. Is there any real differences in performance/stability? I'm happy with void now but good to know there are alternatives since everything is a bit up in the air.
>hacker urge to explore, tinker, improve and make new stuff in the vein of freedom has seemingly been replaced by satisfaction of boasting about your system as a Barby doll ("ricing") in 300 post long oriental culture bulletin board thread twice a day, as if launching the terminal and editing some config files is some sort of an accomplishment
then again, i haven't made anything meaningful, so who am i to point fingers at anyone..
No, I use it for the bleeding edge packages and good package manager.
It actually makes for quite a good development environment.
I use it because it's good.
But also for the neofetch logo, it does look damn nice.
packages and package manager and the aur. I really like it. I used Red Hat at some point, slackware, suse and fucking ubuntu for a little while. I would try slackware back again since it's been more than 10 years since I've use it. I probably will try debian in a near future if I get bored or whatever from Arch.
implying i have peers
post package count, nerds
>The wiki works for almost any distro
That proves how good it is. Even better than gentoo's
>and Arch is bloat
Only from a minimalist's perspective.
1 trillion
the more the better right?
>and good package manager.
yeah with user intervention required on every update LMAO
i've only tried in in a VM, but it seems fine
there's really not much to it, the arch devs just don't want to put resources into compiling 32bit packages anymore, since hardly anyone uses them anymore
most of the time, simply adding 'i686' to pkgbuilds will work just fine
None of those are arguments
> That proves how good it is
No reason to use Arch then, seeing as how the wiki can be used for other distros
> Only from a minimalist's perspective.
And Arch is minimal only from a Windows perspective
