Windows 10 Home Insider Preview Build 17672.rs_prelease.180511-xxxx here
It's a meme. Stop using depreciated software.

Yes, well kind of
The thing about Windows 10 LTSB is that:
It is the outdated 2016 version
It doesn't come with a image viewer preinstalled (not really, it's hidden, you have to enable it in the registry)
It has a shitty flat UI
The start menu takes forever to load and search something
Everything else is just Windows 10, which is fucking garbage
Windows has really gone down the hill and you shouldn't make a switch yet, There's still 2 years to come before the support ends

It's worth it if your switching from regular 10 pro , it's not bloated and no updates besides security updates,

It's basically Win7 with Win10 UI + botnet

7 > LTSB2015 > LTSB2016 > 8.1 > pile of shit > Winblows 10 Enterprise/Education/Pro/Home
That being said, LTSB2015 won't run on Nvidia 10 series and 2016 is a bugfest. Wait until this September, we will get LTSC2019 (yes, it's called 2019 and released in 2018), if Winblows 10 is what you want.

I installed it few months ago. Now I don't have to worry about the normal shitty 10 updates microsoft keeps pushing out to add "features". I enjoying keeping my software uptodate on things, but idk felt like performance kept dropping with every 10 update. LTSB avoids the feature updates, but gets important security and optimization updates. I noticed a glitch I kept having with the taskbar staying on top of everything went away few updates ago.

yeah, agreed.

Little confused here, I thought enterprise and LTSB were different?

Enterprise LTSBLTSC (aka EnterpriseS) is a static build, supported for 10 years, in this case 1607 is supported until 2026 and 1507 until 2025. It doesn't have Store, Cortana, Edge, or other "modern" applications, besides Settings.
Enterprise CBB is on the same release channel as Edu/Pro/Home. It is currently at vuild 1803. It does have Store, Cortana, Edge, and all the bloatware.

>LTSB2015 > LTSB2016
Not with that Start menu it isn't, you literal moron.

The start menu on both 1507 and 1607 are garbage. Completely broken. They only fixed it in 1803.

WTF with companies and their damn namings. But that makes sense, thanks user.

No. Windows 10 is still shit. Now fuck off we have this thread every day.

You're welcome. Add that for Enterprise CBB, every release is supported 18 months. So 1803 is supported only until October 2019.

>depreciated
kek

I'll tell you a funny story. Once you remove all built in apps from regular 10 pro, You're getting no updates besides security updates.
Most bitching about constant updates are idiots who think ignoring existence of Store,Groove, Mail, Money, People, Maps, Sports etc. is enough. But guess what? These apps will be constantly updating if you don't remove them.
Disabling Cortana is easy.
Disabling (Reducing) telemetry is easy.

Ta-Dah! you got your LTSB
>Windows_10_Ultimate_Activator_by_Haxxor_Team_Cyka_Blyat.exe
Yes. There are brainlets on this site who purposely ditched perfectly legal windows 10 home/pro licenses to go through all the effort of reinstalling pirated LTSB instead of spending 5 minutes on copypasting some lines to powershell and regedit.
>twitter.com/m8urnett/status/866355195004854273
Yes. There are brainlets on this site who post this proove that telemetry cannot be turned off completely (which is true), yet they make false assumption that this issue somehow doesn't affect LTSB (which is illogical since LTSB was never audited)

Yes. Logic don't work here. Memes do.

>Is it worth to install?
Depends what os you are on right now and why you want to upgrade to 10.
If you're on 8.1, then yes I think 10 ltsb is better. If you're on 7 though, it's much worse. Only install it if it will benefit you in some way (some particular feature you need, dx12 support, etc).

You can run your own KMS server, brainlet. You already made a tool out of yourself the other day. No need to do it twice.

1. I don't know who you're referring to.
2. Your own KMS server doesn't make your LTSB less pirated.
3. You must be one of the idiots I was referring to in my post since you're so assmad.

>windows update
>30%, first reboot
>70%, about to reboot a second time
>:( Something happend.

>Your own KMS server doesn't make your LTSB less pirated
The point is that you run the official ISO file (remember? I told you in the other thread what a SHA256 checksum means) and an open source KMS server to activate it. KMS activation is the only way to activate Enterprise and other VL SKUs. It's the official was.

Its nice because it only gets security and optimization updates.
For the most part you have more control since you get to install the programs you'll use the most.
However since updating it to its latest iteration will require a clean install I wouldn't bother installing it at this point if you have any other version of windows. You're better off waiting for the release of it's newer version later this year.

>remember? I told you in the other thread
No Terry, we weren't talking in any other thread.
>The point is that you run the official ISO file
Your
own
KMS
server
doesn't
make
your
LTSB
less
pirated

KMS activation is the only and official way of activating VL SKUs, brainlet.

...with a legally acquired license key for LTSB enterprise

Same keys.

how do i fix this shit? using a license key from my college that was free

Bend over, be nice, and hope for the best.

are you twelve?

The ltsb build is based into the initial windows 10 build that’s 2 years old, hence it doesn’t offer the latest features and has no major bug fixes/ patches since 2015/2016.

People say it’s better than 1803 but you are running the first public release build of windows 10 so enjoy your legacy os with all the bugs that were patched years ago for the other editions

No. But you are a brainlet.

Check group policy.

You must be sharpest tool in a shed, since you have a legal LTSB thanks to one easy trick with your own KMS server?

I don't use any version of Winblows 10, brainlet.

It's a meme. I reinstalled windows 10 after using LTSB for a day and realizing it was missing important features because it was 2 years out of date.

Windows 10 LTSB is still Windows 10, but without bloatware. Telemetry BS is still active.

It's also super out of date. Missing a bunch of features.

True. It doesn't have the latest telemetry.
Good job, sir.

>True. It doesn't have the latest telemetry.
->

>a windows without telemetry
Kek, do you also use Facebook messenger to prevent the police from accessing your message history?

Yeah like the feature that broke everything after last month update. Yeah I love this nice feature
>Just downgrade and defer
Yeah so I can get the updated pushed up my ass randomly one night I leave the PC on Yeah fuck you pajeetsan here is 1 rupple for your account. I'm honestly fucking annoying that M$ is forcing me to update every fucking 6 months were I could give two shit about the new features after the first hour.

>features
You mean bloat and telemetry. Nothing of use has been brought to the table since forever.

>thinks new features are useless
>wants to be safe from telemetry
>windows 10

This level of delusion is only matched by poor right wing voters.

>>thinks new features are useless
he's right, new """"""""""""""""""""features"""""""""""""""""""" are useless

Then use windows XP

Yes,because the corporate world has no issue with Microsoft rummaging through their systems, right? If you honestly believe this you're an incurable imbecile.

So then why are you using windows 10? That's the point I'm getting at.

I use Enterprise LTSB because it has the least bullshit going on in it. Also, I literally only have it around for a couple of pieces of software and maybe 3 or 4 games. That's it. I use Linux for everything else and always have.

I don't care about being spied by M$, everyone is spying at me at this point as long as a I have a fucking working OS which I did last month with 1073 but nah gotta force a shitty update.

I thought mstk worked?

Nobody here cares about it it's pirated or not you fucktard

Is there even a legal way of getting this now?

I've installed it on my laptop a few days ago after seeing threads shilling it. I had no problems on 1607 when it originally rolled out.
>muh lack of features and bugfixes
I don't give a shit about the new paint program and WLS, I have a dual boot
>muh piracy
Who even likes giving M$ 200 shekels every 5 years
>muh botnet
It's based on the enterprise version so you can completely disable it
>muh 2 year old software
7 is nine years old and nobody wines about that.
It really depends on you if you want to install LTSB or stay with what you have

>non ltsb == bloat
>ltsb == no telemetry
don't forget "muh ads" meme

How likely is it that LTSC 2019 will be available for average people to download and install? Maybe there will be some way MS will prevent it from happening? I am running a legit Win 10 installation and tried 2016 LTSB in a VM; looks good and bloat-free. May switch over soon.

My dudes, post valid checksums of LTSB I'm banned in Google by being brainlet

Do you want a fucking award or something?

Isn't buying license means you get years for your key? I heard when meme lifetime will come your license just be extanded. No?

Attached: Windows_10.jpg (500x521, 409K)

Dude what? "Check group policy"? What the fuck am I supposed to look for in group policy? There are over thousands of policies in there. Jesus fucking christ

>How likely is it that LTSC 2019 will be available for average people to download and install?

ZERO. They don't want consumers using LTSB because it directly invalidates their windows as a service model. No cortana, no store, no included apps that companies pay MS to include.

LTSB is locked behind 2 licensing schemes. First you need a Pro license then you have to upgrade that license to Enterprise to either user based or device based then you need to pay a per year sub add-on license per user ($84 E3, $168 E5) then a monthly sub fee of ($7, $14 respectively) and if you stop paying that fee you roll back to Pro. I doubt they will ever change this since while Non LTSB/C Enterprise gets regular "feature" updates MS still only recommends Long term branches for Mission critical stuff (bullshit).

It really fucking rubs me the wrong as to why they just wont let power users pay a reasonable premium for single user LTSB. Some people want long term stability and don't want their shit fucked up every CB update or hack their OS to avoid them.

>MS still only recommends Long term branches for Mission critical stuff
dunno about you but shitposting, anime and weeb porn games seem pretty mission critical stuff for me

Thanks, I know that. Meant how likely will the "less than legal" methods work for acquiring LTSC2019, like they did for LTSB2016. Like some fuckery disabling activation through anything other than official channels.

no just use normal Minecraft Windows

Attached: windows.png (1138x817, 134K)

I tried it on a secondary partition once and removed it.

It just felt so lonely and autistic without any possibility to install anything nice from the Store.

Also, none of the nice features from the regular builds, like:

- no WSL
- no Night light
- none of the good/useful UWP apps
- no feature updates so you get none of the newest and coolest things
- no Edge browser, so if you webdev you can't test sites for this browser

There's literally no reason to use LTSB unless you have an autism diagnostic and hate any form of human contact or nice new things. LTSB is made only for computers that nobody interacts with, so you see the irony when Jow Forums autists are recommending it.

By this definition, Windows 7/8.1 is "autistic", whatever the fuck this redditor is saying.

>It is the outdated 2016 version
it has maintenance and security updates monthly, just not any feature updates

Not really. I had Win 8.1 and it was ok. It's like an undeveloped, early form of Win10.

But yeah, now that there is Win10 there's no reason to use Win 8.1 anymore. It would be just an autistic choice. It's like those guys who are still using Windows XP, because they think that's still the best version.

it's managed to not brick any of my hardware since I installed it with any updates

Attached: 6a0120a85dcdae970b0128776ff992970c-pi.png (200x193, 30K)

Stop using words you don't understand kid.

Also, I've never been on reddit, so you missed me on that one.

>felt like performance kept dropping with every 10 update
It's been the opposite for me actually, and I'm running really old shit.

If you absolutely without any escape forced with a gun to your head are required to use windows 10, than it's not a meme. In any other case: use windows 7 as it's designed to serve you unlike 10 that is even in the most user-friendly version doing a lot of stuff just to please microsoft and a bunch of advertisers.

Attached: prosecution stops.jpg (283x329, 51K)

What about Team OS? Are they filled with viruses?

No because you still get bent over by microshill and it’s friends. Either not use windows or just use its consumer edition

made the mistake of putting Windows on my TV box

just use linux, user.

Attached: IMG_20180523_225615_HDR.jpg (3120x4160, 1.72M)

not wanting my PC to do useless updates 24/7 so I can spend more time doing the things I actually enjoy is autism now? fucks sake

Been using LTSB for a year now with no regret, every month it receives the incremental security update from MS and nothing else.

No game trouble, no issues with compatibility, drivers, local search, or updates. It really is just 10 as it shipped in 2016 with no extra Metro jank or social garbage. You can sideload whatever UWP shit you may need back in with powershell, too.

Just put it in a VM like any other OS that you're unsure about using daily

They will most likely still use the KMS activation they have been using for a long time. Huge corps need a reliable/secure way to activate Windows and Office for a ton of users so I don't foresee them adding additional hassle just to fuck entire businesses running expensive VL software.

Bunch of microsoft shilling anti-piracy morons and retards who have no idea what they're talking about in this thread.

I wish I could say the same on my old setup. In comparison to youtube playback in chrome 10 ltsb stutters like a bitch compared to wes7. I notice it uses a different driver version mind (2006-era intel igp).

there are also performance and stability updates for any bugs found, just no feature updates

Used LTSB since new build. Haven’t had an issue with it compared to 7 and compared to other versions of 10 I have used I would rather shoot my self. All this is missing is the classic theme.

State of Decay 2 won’t install but which is a pain when Sea of Thieves works.

Thanks man. Figure maybe I'll reinstall with LTSB 2016 soon. Kinda strange I have a legit Win 10 copy but would rather use this. Don't need all the bloat and useless (to me) updates.

Do I have the right to install LTSB with a Home license?

no

E3 subscriptions does not allow LTSB/LTSC deployment. So the situation is worse than you mentioned.
