Not OP, but it's so heavy it will firmly sit on top of anything. I have mine mounted on 5 stainless-steel legs, but just laying it on top of the Alex or any other module will work.

the vice is fine for this, but it's a good idea to put some rubber between PCB and the jaw.

still, the solder looks like the wire moved while the solder solidified or the soldering point was too cold

You are correct - It was really hard to hold the cable and the iron at the same time. The first few times before i got the vice out i ended up redoing. This was also before getting the red extenders

invest in a third hand tool - it'a a world of difference

I think this is one of the best ones here, it's clean and simple, yet not completely boring, the plant and lamp are a nice touch, maybe fill the shelf above with a few more books.

I've had this chair for over ten years now. I think I paid like $300 for it. I've replaced the castors once and had to weld up a bracket cause the arm broke. Other then that and the peeling, its still a really solid chair.
