ITT: We name things that Windows can do that GNU/Linux can't.
>connect to wifi >use bluetooth devices >not have screen tearing >configure audio easily >choose where to install programs >play games >view HDR content >draw a circle >use a printer >view images in the browser filepicker >use GUIs for most tasks
>send your data to the nsa with impeccable timing and precision
Zachary Fisher
The distro I use has Bluetooth capability. I have connected multiple things. It has printer capabilities too.
Lincoln Miller
Linux distros can do all of that. Or are you unironically reffering to the kernel? In that case: proof that NT can do these things on its own
Cooper Clark
>connect to wifi Ethernet is better. Wifi is for retards. >use bluetooth devices Bluetooth sucks. Even worse than USB for peripherals. >not have screen tearing Compton >configure audio easily alsamixer >choose where to install programs Change the config file. >play games Games are for children. >view HDR content HDR sucks. >draw a circle Gimp or tuxpaint >use a printer Install drivers or compile non-free kernel >view images in the browser filepicker Use an image viewer >use GUIs for most tasks Only retards use GUIs.
Juan Moore
OP you forgot >Have complete disrespect for the user's freedom
>>configure audio easily my onboard soundcard works flawlessly under linux. it's impossible to get to work under windows 10
Robert Foster
All literal non-issues
Hunter Rivera
I can middle click on any windows title bar and it'll close immediately like a browser tab does I can also scroll down or up the taskbar to change volume No need to fuck around with Optimus, it just werks
Josiah Perez
>implying systemd doesn't do that already
Joseph Lewis
because local dimming is a fucking meme >haloing >slow >fucking lol 1k USD more for the same monitor
it literally needs thousands of zones to be decent, instead of the 384 ones or whatever.
Sure. Because NSA/CIA are going to make their code public, so everybody in the internet can confirm government spies on them.

systemd is botnet XD i saw it on Jow Forumslinuxmasterrace XD just trust me! lol
Levi Scott
>configure audio easily Holy shit this. I tried downloading Linux Mint on my school laptop; I'm at school trying to study last minute for an exam (about to watch video lectures) when I realize I don't know how to turn the volume on/up? It's something I've never thought about, every single system I've used my whole life I've just plugged headphones into the 3.5mm and they Just Werk. Not with Linux. After troubleshooting I found out I had to go into commandline and download PulseAudio, than systemctl enable pulseaudio systemctl restart pulseaudio because it wasn't working. I had to install and launch my own audio driver on the fly to get this simple functionality out of my computer that I've never had to think about before. Still can't control volume without terminal commands, but fuck it it's something I can work with. Restart computer? Gotta relaunch that driver daemon bro. Or write your own script to have it autolaunch at boot.
Is this really master-race computing? I get the idea of supreme customization and the computer only doing what you tell it but having to download and launch an audio driver from terminal just to hear shit is supreme level autism that I cannot see gaining popularity among non-autists
Julian Richardson
>i have stockholm syndrome therefore everyone else does too
Brandon Butler
Use one of many distros that doesn't have systemd then, ya dumb fuck.
Carson Price
How does he have time to say all that? He just opens his mouth like once, then closes it.
Asher Adams
yes this is the reality gnu/linuxtards dont want you to know
Jaxon Ramirez
>who wants that?? >who wants that?? >who wants that?? >who wants that?? freetards in a nutshell
>use bluetooth devices Fucking this, my windows gaming machine connects to my headphones as soon as I power them on while I have to manually pair and unpair to connect on my ubuntu workstation
Juan Moore
>can't play tuxracer
Nolan Price
>connect to wifi >use bluetooth devices connman
Nolan Moore
Windows can make low quality bait threads like this one.
>connect to wifi Can do without problems. >use bluetooth devices Can do without problems. >not have screen tearing Only happens on gigantic screens when playing HD videos.. >configure audio easily Even more flexible under linux. >choose where to install programs Could choose, decide against it for consistency of system. >play games No/Little content doesn't mean it's impossible. >view HDR content Never tried that, dunno. But what about AV1? >draw a circle I can draw as many circles as I like with Cairo. >use a printer Only buy hardware supported by your OS, or generally use a wifi-printer, fuck USB except for Zip-disquettes. >view images in the browser filepicker Unfunny Meme. >use GUIs for most tasks Just because you can't do most of the things on Windows you can do under Linux. Of course the percentage will shift.
Nathaniel Brown
What distro do you use?
Asher Morales
>use AutoCAD >use SumatraPDF >use Photoshop >use Premiere >use Sony Vegas >use Citavi >use Excel >use any program a productive human being needs
Aiden Rogers
It's a shame, but Linux sucks.
Sebastian Scott

>BSOD >Send data to Microsoft >Send data to FBI, CIA, NSA >get forced updates >break applications with every single update >built off of shitty code back from Windows 3 >has shitty default web browsers
Oliver Carter
You made a mistake, tech autists can't into humor. They mean well, so treat them kindly, but keep in mind that they can't pick up on social cues.
Ethan Collins
>what is Wine >what is VM >thinking Excel is actually good And be honest, what do you actually do that requires you to have the top of the line software ranging from 3D modeling to video editing software (you have fucking two too).
Oliver Green
Every Linux distro I have ever used came bundled with some shitty browser by default, except for a few of the *buntus with came with firefox.
The only true one is play games... And maybe bluetooth devices shit but hey who the hell uses bluetooth faggotry shit
Joshua Allen
Idk, don't use Mint. Fedora has a simple slider for this, and my media keys work fine for brightness and volume.
Juan Nelson
OK I'm bored so I can reply to baits >>connect to wifi Works on my machine >>use bluetooth devices Works on my machine >>not have screen tearing Compton, wayland or a good compositor (any newbie distro have one out of the box >>configure audio easily Works out of the box, multiple frontend available for noobs >>choose where to install programs Literally read the documentation of your distro and figure it out yourself >>play games Steam is on Linux and if a game is not on Linux there is a good chance it's a shitty game >>view HDR content Don't use it so I can't say >>draw a circle Never tried but it should be possible, use google if you are too retarded >>use a printer Works out of the box on my machine >>view images in the browser filepicker OK, you won here but you can patch it easily >>use GUIs for most tasks My mother use only GUI and she can do everything she wants >>use AutoCAD Wine >>use SumatraPDF Useless and alternatives are obviously better >>use Photoshop Wine or alternative >>use Premiere Wine or alternative >>use Sony Vegas Wine or alternative >>use Citavi Don't know this shit >>use Excel Better alternative and you should use latex anyway >>use any program a productive human being needs I can use any windows program on Linux so I miss nothing (but still Linux alternatives are better most of the time)

Leo Allen
>baited into saying Ethernet is flat out better than wifi >autistic retard only able to think within the paradigm of his desktop PC >"HDR sucks" >"Only retards use GUIs"
I'm not sure if someone is actually this fucking retarded or not. Not sure if I should believe the amount of retardation.
Chase Long
>he thinks he has self respect because instead of paying for a working OS he uses a free one maintained by hobbyists with no official anything >not realize no 'community run' anything has ever been anything more than pure shit
Total losers and brainlets join in on community shit because they think its their time to shine. They just want so badly to pretend they have some power or authority because the normal working world has told them to fuck off for being retarded, ie, a proper company hiring programmers whereas the Linux community welcomed them to JUST everything up.
Oliver Perez
>if a game is not on Linux there is a good chance it's a shitty game >Fortnite >shitty game
Oliver Sullivan
Money motivated programmers don't want to fix bugs or make quality software. They just want to get a paycheck and go home. They also don't want to sell products based on features or real user studies anymore, as evidenced by win10's reliance on advertising and telemetry to maintain profit. If you want to waste money on an overpriced, buggy and bloated 9-5 product made by H1Bs then sure, windows is your best bet.
Jose Torres
Kek good post
William Martinez
Hey user do you wanna make your computer work free of charge? >Linux Hey user do you wanna pay someone to operate and maintain your computer? >Windows Hey user are you LGBTQ?? >Mac
Carson Ross
As a winfag I can get behind that. I respect people who use free software because they don't want to pay for it and they don't pirate it either. I even have GIMP installed on my PC because I didn't want to pirate Photoshop and paying for it is retarded unless you're making money with it. Ended up pirating Photoshop either way though.
>HDR I just got an HDR monitor and it's support in Windows is shit
Ayden Bell
>ITT: We name things that Windows can do that GNU/Linux can't. >>connect to wifi Works for me. IDC if it doesn't since WiFi is shit anyway though. >>use bluetooth devices Works for me >>not have screen tearing Works for me >>configure audio easily Easy for me >>choose where to install programs Why? >>play games Works for me >>view HDR content What? >>draw a circle Works for me >>use a printer Works (better) for me >>view images in the browser filepicker Works for me >>use GUIs for most tasks Works for me
YOU ARE A FUCKING QUEER, EDUCATE YOURSELF.
Aiden Ward
>>configure audio easily Bitch pls. Pulseaudio may be trash but Windows sound system is unusable. Have fun trying to use more than 1 sound device on Windows.
Jacob Rivera
>Compton Sorry user but compton is shit and it doesn't stop screen tearing
Charles Campbell
Can someone explain why HDR is such a shitshow on PC? I mean, it's not like it's the first standard to offer greater than sRGB color gamut, I know Adobe, Kodak and some other companies had their own monitor color standards, so why is it so difficult now? You would think we would have figured out tone mapping by now.
