no.

t. NEET

Why tho?

It's ok to be gay

Is it okay to be employed?

No, might lead to proper socialisation and eventually leave Jow Forums

No but seriously, they had a huge leak years ago. It’s a social network and most people there don’t strike me as people anyone might want to work with.
Disregard if you have some cool contacts in already (like a PhD with active research in your field or CEO of a small business)

I used to get notifications from one guy I met once, everyday for few weeks, wanting me to register.

Is it really required for work at science field?

no white men allowed

No, But you have to.

No, it's worthless

i got my job paying 115k from some turbofag linkedin recruiter but whatever works for you neets

Linkedin is fine if you want to shmooze with recruiters that will do nothing for you. If you're actually looking for a job, linkedin sucks. I suggest ziprecruiter.

I had to unlist my number from my country's online phonebook services because recruiters kept calling sometimes several times per day.

>letting retards on Jow Forums control your life

no

No it's owned by Facebook

you mean Microsoft

They're part of Microsoft

What are the options if you refuse to use glorified social media like this?

Huh, I thought it was Facebook. That makes me feel better about having a Linkedin account; I may actually keep it up to date now.

That was not the intended result. Microsoft is bad too.

Facebook had "BranchOut" or whatever their professional service was called.

Hope it went into the crapper.

Honestly, it's just a bunch of people using buzzwords from the lastest tech memes circle jerking each other. Everyone's profile lists that they are a VR, AI, Machine Learning, Cloud, and Blockchain expert. It's sort of hard to get through the bullshit and find good candidates, we've had better luck with randoms who submitted resumes on indeed, networked candidates, and job fairs.

>PM that helps with recruitment

I use it keep in touch with previous co-workers just in case. As for getting a job it's pretty worthless.
Almost every mail I get refers to me as a man even when my name and photo give my gender away.

maybe they don't like trans
