Nope it works. Just sent some images to my laptop with Bluetooth the way I would expect it to work (unlike in Winshit where you have to run fsquirt) Why I would want use slow shitty Bluetooth when KDE connect exists is a mystery, though.

Because xHCI is a shit implementation. On tons of mainboards you also won't be able to boot USB 2 sticks on EHCI ports and vice versa.
Apple got a lot of shit for not supporting USB 3 earlier, although they did the right thing there. It still interferes with 2,4GHz spectrum and as too little amounts of people use either USB 3 or Bluetooth, nobody notices and nobody will ever fix that.
Intel has a whitepaper, but you must know it exists, otherwise they would never ever tell you this.
