Measure 48 inch TV because getting new stand

>Measure 48 inch TV because getting new stand
>48 inch TV is actually 43 inches with Bezel
>Google TVs and look at their dimmensions
>Most 55 inch TVs are only 50 inches wide
Is this normal? What the fuck is going on.

Why are TVs measured like this?

Most aesthetic TV.

Pretty sure the 800 and 900 also look like that. It looks identical to my x900e

bait, if you truly believed '48"' referred to width, you wouldn't have measured it's width in the first place

because that's where adding 1 inch makes the most difference since it's the longest part of a square/triangle

You can't be serious, right?

tell me what the width of this tv is
