I wish I were a cute anime girl

Alright you nuggets, shill me on pic related.
Been kind of thinking of perhaps updating to a stand-alone DAC from my venerable Fiio E10, and the Topping has measured well in reviews, would stack nicely in my current setup, has the added S/PDIF out and wacky meme format support *if* I ever get bamboozled into trying them. And let's be honest, the display is nifty af,even though most likely "44.1 PCM" is all I'll ever be watching on it.

Two specific questions: 1) on Windows, does it allow volume control via OS? (I recall some reviews mentioning the D10 having a bit higher line out level than some others), 2) how's the screen, any flicker visible with the naked eye? (one reviewer mentioned being able to see the refresh rate on the display, but guess that could just be due to turbo autism-heightened senses?)

Idol trash here. What's your setup like, user?
Very good measurements for the price, but I'd go with the D30 just to not have to power it with USB. Flexibility.

Got these boys in 2015. I can drive them on anything from my phone to my receiver at home. I'd like to try something open backed, though. Should I go with the HD 600s or something else?

Attached: 600x600_smart_fit.jpg (600x600, 27K)

just get the hd600, theres other options but the 600 are the gold standard

Reddit

if you guys don't know this already this is a little protip I learned today:

you can really easily (and safely) dissolve / clean out any accumulated wax in your ears with hydrogen peroxide from the pharmacy, and no this is not some epic trole mustard gas tide pod shit it won't make hurt your ears in any way, google it and see

you just lay on your side, poor a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in your ear and it does a gentle fizzing dissolve of the wax (which actually feels amazing) I just laid there for probably close to 10 minutes letting it fully dissolve away the wax, dump the liquid out into a kleenex, repeat other ear

I didn't have much wax built up tb h but I'm still a bit autistic about it, I find any wax buildup at all get uncomfortable and wearing headphones a lot makes it worse anyway I doubt anyone will read this epic blog but google hydrogen peroxide to clean ear wax if you think I'm just trolling, i'm not.. it's a legit comfy & safe way to super clean your ears at home yourself.

Now tell me how to unclog my eustachian tubes. I have a cold and everything in my left ear is muffled to shit.

go to the doctor and get your ears flushed if its that bad, takes barely 10 mins

youtube.com/watch?v=w__yE1zyZ94

It's not painful, just irritating as shit when trying to listen to music.

most people should not be cleaning their ears, your ears need to have wax

your ears will still produce wax, and it's not something you would do all the time, doctors recommend once a month is perfectly safe though

Went to doc for flushing but I had such build up i had to continue doing it at home for awhile. It feels soooooo good when you finally get a big clog out. Sound just snaps back into focus.

What is this like with a big sound stage? Because of the channel fuckery. I've got HD600 and they are not know for sound stage.

that is way too often dude, unless you have a serious issue

other than the one from hifiman, is there an adapter to use speaker outputs to power headphones?

I have had tinnitus since I was a child, it was caused by an ear infection I got. You should get yourself checked out if you experience any issues with hearing clarity.

If you go to concerts on the reg every week and don’t always wear plugs because you’re only at a bar with friends shit builds up.

I wouldn't need to do it once a month myself but some people it builds up faster, just saying I have heard from multiple doctors it's perfectly safe to rinse with hydrogen peroxide once a month if you want or need to

definitely don't stick q-tips in there though.. I doubt anyone here is that dumb..?

Why have you not stopped buying more headphones user?

silly whiteboi

No detectable cable = 1~ life spam. Oh wow. Okay lol

>im a whiteboi with a shrimpdick

now now children

So this is your stax fags. Hmmm

TRS to 4x banana plugs. May require a chain of adapters: eg. 2x banana to TS and 2x TS to TRS.
Not that this is recommended for anything other than the least sensitive headphones. The noise floor normally would much higher than almost any headphone amp, and the high gain would leave a limited volume range with most headphones.

STAX

Hey guys. What do you think of these headphones? Argon mk3 by the way.

Attached: aaaaa4.png (560x625, 216K)

Attached: buystax7.png (719x477, 184K)

i found pic related on ebay, it should do the trick

Attached: s-l1600.jpg (1280x960, 113K)

But argons have a bigger sound stage user? And more bass for gaming.

neither is true

they won't in either case

how much more incorrect can you be

youtube.com/watch?v=HiAw7i1VBEs
20:43
And I quote "these have the biggest sound stage of another headphones I've heard".
Your move.

the anime girls have been getting lewder every time the past couple of threads, please continue

Well if a salesman says so...

he has said that about many headphones.

youtu.be/R869ABpfdaM?t=3m20s
And I quote "these are not headphones because they are better than all of them."
Check and mate.

watch him squirm while he bans the use of the word best

youtube.com/watch?v=QgGsdT9xGNs

Not an argument
L300 are narrow.

ZEOS IS NOT AN ARGUMENT

Sweetie, read my post.

argon user already ruining the thread by triggering stax fags

hes the worst poster on this general

what amp will you use?

not something that needs to be argued with, trying to claim electrostatics have a bad sound stage just makes it obvious you've never heard one

ebay.com/itm/Beyerdynamic-ET-1000-electrostatic-N-1000/163061578820?hash=item25f73a3c44:g:tJEAAOSwruVa6vFe
should i?

You are habituating the mods with those lewds pics, right ?
,,Habituation is a form of learning in which an organism decreases or ceases its responses to a stimulus after repeated or prolonged presentations."

Rude and not true
Schiit stack of course. Magni 3

should i buy pic related or crack+speedball?

Definitely pic related since the crack is no longer on sale.

What headphones?

>Schiit stack of course. Magni 3
i...i'm so sorry

Attached: 1509566208331.jpg (377x500, 56K)

>crack is no longer on sale.
Say what?

Attached: images.jpg (253x199, 7K)

>pic related

hd650 and dt1990

Attached: roger_1.jpg (1000x1000, 128K)

A DAC is a DAC and the magni 3 will do fine. Yes the company sucks.

Thats the new stock Z2 cable that they came with.. it seems to be about 20 dollars by itself on Aliexpress. I have just recently been buying cheap purple yinyoo pros for their right angle silver 4 core MMCX cable and get some ok DYN + BA iems for literally a few dollars more.

I just gifted some purple yinyoo with a BT MMCX to a girl after i harvesting the cable. Felt good man.

Attached: IMG_5824.jpg (3264x2448, 2.81M)

I would say Bottlehead crack but if is true I don't know.

It was $300 a week ago for the crack + speedball. Now it's back at $414. Tube amps are a meme anyways.

zeos hasn't even reviewed that and you're already starting to shill it. are you capable of independent thought?

No idea how that is shilling and what has zeos got to do with the price of cheese.

Alright /hpg/. You win. I'm gonna buy Stax.

which pair would be a solid upgrade from pic related?

Attached: 91288466962.jpg (750x500, 41K)

HD650 with bottlehead crack and speedball

>magni 3 will do fine
not with the argon
youtu.be/Nr1uU71xk8E?t=383
>6:20

>which pair would be a solid upgrade from pic related?
all of them.

If they get loud they are fine. Too smart to fall for the amp memes. Nice try though.

asking is not shilling
i really like the way it looks but i haven't found many reviews

>he actually believes that

Attached: 1509731792344.png (3160x3254, 1011K)

Why do you hate me? I am just exited about my headphones and what to express that on the headphone thread of 4 Chan. I do get I lil' carried way but that's because I am very passionate. Hope we can get along in future.

Attached: Argons.jpg (1500x1125, 142K)

>haven't used my 650's and fiio e9 in a couple of years since I've never had a decent home PC setup to use them
>bust it out today
>something rattling around inside the amp
>massive distortion whenever I adjust the volume using the knob, but only when adjusting volume

Attached: 0056.jpg (125x125, 2K)

Having headphones too loud can cause hearing damage. Like tinnitus. Please keep yourself safe.
