What music player do you use?

What music player do you use?

What's your choice?

Musicbee.
Foobar is ugly as sin. And no, you can't make it as pretty as musicbee with ease, don't listen to any /mu/tards that come across this thread

I like rhythmbox because it integrates well with gnome and it automounts sftp

library = shit no one needs
both are bloatnets

>muh bloat
Nice font rendering. What are you posting from a bloatnet I suppose?

foobar2000, what else?

itunes

Russian botnet.

Lollypop, bit bloated but jus werks

i'm using my old laptop. in my desktop pc use spotify, which is an american botnet.

simply mpv and folders.

i used to use musicbee but i dont see any need anymore. Also foobar is one of the worst media players ive ever used

a library is just useful
what is that program?

mpd

MusicBee.
Because RIP WinAmp.

acme.
And no, it's not useful when the filesystem accomplishes the same thing

Audacious. Clementine is good too.

library
>want to play music
>open music player
>click song

no library
>want to play music
>open file browser
>search through hundreds of folders
>click song
>music player opens
>music plays

Winamp on PC
Jetaudioplus on Android
Cassette player on nature

>want to play music
>open acme with a premade array of scripts
>the scripts might display the library as folders or they may just put out songs directly
>click song
>it plays

this except i use cassette player only to rip music from cassettes. used to use foobar for pc but switched back to winamp because it had the best library system that didn't seem to fuck up if i added new music.

>mpv seems too annoying to me because it haven't got a 'library'
That's probably because it's a fucking video player

Audacious if you want a justwerks light music player
Voltra if you don't mind Electron and want eye candy
Plexamp if you like visual minimalism and architectural maximalism (running a Plex server just for your music) as well as interconnecting every device you own

cmus

gnome music is nice
audacious
moc

Russian Botnet

SMplayer organizes playlist in a simple way, and it's good.

Deadbeef

AIMP is great so I use it.

how could plan9 people think this is a good idea?

Post scripts

What do you guys think about Clementine?

The best cross platform music player but the last release was 2 years ago.

been using iTunes on Windows because iPod/iPhone
only had some ancient iPod that's dead (circle center instead of touchscreen) and an iPhone 4
about to buy an Android, which music player can manage my library on PC and mobile device efficiently as iTunes does for my phone?

I use iTunes of course

>tfw not autistic enough to use beets + cmus

>mpv seems too annoying to me because it haven't got a 'library'
You can use mpv alongside ffprobe, find and grep/awk to compensate for that. Though you're better with just using cmus or mpd+scmus.

cmus. VLC is fucked in Linux rn.

>the filesystem accomplishes the same thing
What the heck the filesystem has to do with anything?

So gnu+linux : mpv and ncmpcpp
Wincuck : billy

chromium --app=youtube.com

>it haven't got a 'library'
The "library" is your filesystem pajeet. Learn English.

What are you, retarded or something?

moc for music
mpv for movies

>What music player do you use?
youtube.com

not playing music on gnu/llinux shit.

i've used rhythmbox and i can say I like it but im liking the idea of this acme thing now that i see its a thing

cmus + mps-youtube

That's still more effort than a standard music player

there's nothing autistic about that though. beets is really easy to set up and will organize your library automatically, it will save you so much time if you add new albums often and cmus barely require any configuration.

Good taste user.

gmusicbrowser

Wynil.

I use Clementine. It's alright. Pretty much just like iTunes but without all the Apple bullshit, terms of service, and updates that fuck with your organization.

it's really good. Even has a remote. Sadly it doesn't compare to MusicBee.

Prove it.

Talking about Russian and Aimp, anybody know how to fix cyrillic looking all fucked up

AY_EMUL. plays all .ay and other PSG files while also supporting modern audio formats. it doesn't look very good though

Attached: AY_EMUL.png (430x164, 45K)

MPC HC

Nice taste user, too bad your player can't even render text properly

Attached: foobar.png (936x585, 167K)

clementine in lignux
foobar on windows

everything else a shit

I want to move from foobar to a open source alternative. So between amarok and audacious which one is the better?

Winyl is my favorite and Foobar my second choice

Attached: foobar22.png (1045x526, 150K)

Spotify because it has everything I like and I just block ads in my hosts file

cmus, GUI music players are fucking cancer.

It's minimized 99.9999999999% of the time, who gives a shit how it looks?

Winamp

cozy af

Depends on the system.

On Windows, Foobar2k is pretty decent but lately I've been using AIMP because it honestly takes less of my time to set up proper.

On linux, Clementine. Simple enough.

On macOS, either iTunes or Cog. iTunes has excellent tagging. Cog plays all the stuff.

aplay

Just use a foobar. Start with a simple setup and improve it to suit your needs. I assure you it's worth it

>ALSA
ffplay you negroid

foobar is literal perfection because I can tweak and customize it to look exactly the way I want

this is m y music player

Attached: file.png (1290x774, 355K)

cmus just werks

used foobar2k for 3+ years, but switched to spotify (i know) a couple months ago and love it

Subsonic

Attached: Screenshot_20180528-195018.png (539x959, 612K)

mpv is mostly for playing video. mpd is the music player daemon

When did Jow Forums start shilling Musicbee? It looks like garbage.
Have fun not owning your music when they inevitably go bankrupt.

mpv with playlist loop.
I don't really need anything else.

winamp with the same skin I've used since 2002

Attached: llamasass.jpg (760x859, 149K)

i use foobar2000, it's super ultra light =D
also i like the customization and the lyrics plugin :3
awoo

mpv

samefag

Why would you use this you cant see cover art

They're trying too hard to stand out.

cmus for local files
mpv for internet radio
foobar2k on windows and android

incredible album but i would kind of bet my life you havent listened it fully and are only familiar with missing, which is alright, but do listen to it fully if you havent. top 10 material for sure.

foofags, I'm trying to fill a rectangle of empty space on my player. can somebody tell me what component I should fill it with?

youtube+youtube-dl+mpv
file manager + mpv
vlc is fine if you want to see an overview of the entire playlist and it also has a nice ncuses interface.
if you use anything else you might have eaten too much onions

AIMP 3

This looks edgy, but the right kind of edgy.

if you listen to classical or baroque, you will realise why people just give up on music players.
tags are SHIT, and to edit them would take too much time, so i rather navigate through terminal, or sometimes through well organized folders.

>implying
What else would I use?

vlc on windows because fuck it
audacious on linux (or vlc on machines I don't really care about)
foobar on my phone (with useful shit like autoplay on headphones, mix to mono, and it just works)

man, fuck acme

>drag folder onto music player
>songs play
ezpz

Lollypop, honestly, one of the better programs that are a part of GNOME. Although if I'm not mistaken, the guy joined GNOME after he wrote the software.

Attached: Screenshot_2018-05-29_12-11-53.png (1280x774, 1003K)

Winamp is still the best option. What's the point in anything else?
