>tfw bait threads

>not using superior horizontal and vertical setup

two 25-27" 16:9 monitors stacked on top of each other are perfection, pleb

>2018
>Having monitors on the desk
>not mounting the monitors to the wall
you plebs disgust me

Let me guess. You have them each on their own stand don’t you?

>tfw when 32 inch monitor
beats dual setups thats for sure

If you need to focus on something then just turn the other one off you retard
And move your chair so you're right in front of the one that is turned on
At least that's what I do

Just close one of your eyes bro, you'll be able to focus more easily

>tfw literally no space for triple monitor setup
Can't wait to get out of this fucking shithole and finally join the 20-30-20 meme

I used to run 3 monitors and a 24/7 laptop running king of the hill.

I have two monitors at work.
One for my local machine and one for the computation pc I'm connected to.
It just works.

why not just use a kvm?

The two on the right are my primary monitors. They are in the corner of a corner desk. No head turning that way

Attached: image1 (2).jpg (1632x1224, 549K)

The software I use needs windows

>
kvm isnt gnu only

>that wallpaper

never seen one so beautiful, source?

>>tfw you have almost no space left on your desk
are you using dual crt monitor setup?

are you guys retarded? rotate the monitors. read shit. enjoy life.

...

This man is a true genius and the most valuable Google engineer. He's like a God at Google and not even the CEO would go against him. He literally made Google what it is today and wrote/worked-on all of their most important software stacks. He's worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Now, notice something interesting:

He doesn't have two, three or four monitors and he doesn't have some gigantic TV screen that kills your focus and distracts him from everything important.

He's not distracted by having a phone out on his desk, because he doesn't use such technology as a lifeline like consumerist millennial do who'd literally die without their phone.

He doesn't have some bullshit meme mech keyboard with some special switches that were forged by elves in Japan from katana-grade steel and lights that emit perfect sRGB colors.

He doesn't have some tricked out text editor with million different features and colors.

He doesn't run some super-autistic Linux distro like Arch that demands you babysit it all the time.

He doesn't have some DE with customized CSS US that you usually see in tons of threads on here.

He didn't even change the default theme, colors or the default background.

He can afford all that shit, yet he doesn't waste his time on it. Instead, he writes 100x better code than you and is 1,000,000x more accomplished than you'll ever be. And he's infinitely smarter than you'll ever be.

So quit falling for fucking memes and quit craving all the latest bullshit that gets posted on here in these cancerous consumerist "generals" threads. Mark my words, and this is coming from a professional: there's nothing more pathetic than consumers who think having multi-monitor setups makes them productive.

if you're going to read that obsessively into his setup, why don't you also pay attention to the brand of headphones he owns, or the clothing he wears?

just use whatever works for you. stop reading so much into what works for other people. jesus christ, you people need therapy

He is using a MX518, just like me and Elon Musk.

> tfw you ha ve atriple monitor setup so you don't have to hurt your neck

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1920x1080, 111K)

but he use dual cup of coffee

One 1920x1080 23.5in monitor and a 1280x1024 19in. monitor (right and left, angled, respectively) is truly top-tier.

I want to get dual 4k monitors, one landscape and one portrait. I write software at work, so having a horizontal display to write and a vertical to read documentation would be perfect.

>He doesn't have some tricked out text editor with million different features and colors.
He uses GNU Emacs. A nice editor is not the same as meme tech. He also uses a super expensive keyboard, I wouldn't mind that instead of my chink mech.

>writing more than 80 columns
disgusting

>Deskspace
>Using your desk to hold your monitor
>Not using a vesa mount on the wall for maximum comfy

What are you a officeworklette?

pretty much only keep pidgin and evolution running on my extra monitor at work. can confirm that virtual workspaces are generally just superior overall.

it's nice I guess to be able to instantly see when I get an email or text i guess. but that's what desktop notifications are for anyhow.

He put his shirt on backwards
.

not everyone is a programmer.

>expensive keyboard
thats just a microsoft natural ergonomic keyboard 4000

>monitor on the wall
>not in the middle of the room to have space for stretching your legs

>he doesnt get his other monators from dumpsters/thrift stores

are those speakers good?

I have two and want 4 more for muh gaymes

[ ][ ] = suck

[ ][ ][ ] = very nice FoV basically cheating in FPS games

[ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ] = I no longer need to go outside because I can still see the sun in my cave

git gud

Why did you buy it if you don't need it? Why didn't you return it when it quickly became apparent that it wasn't useful for you?

Send a pic of this set up

I can smell the must coming from your body. I can't imagine how pathetic you are irl

100% correct OP. If you use more than one monitor you are officially a brainlet. The ONLY exceptions are:
>using laptop as a second screen with monitor
>using small 4:3 monitor as second screen.

my dick would choke your seasoned whore of a mother so to each their own

I'm willing to bet you're still a college kid while I have a professional salaried career and simply can't justify the cost for how much free time I actually waste now.

But to each their own. You keep Shrekin' it, I'll keep wreckin' it

I consume screen real estate faster than OP consumes semen. Every time I get a larger monitor, I'm amazed that I could ever make do with my crappy old one. Currently have a 27" 1440p+23" 1080p and I'm looking to go 40"+ 4K ASAP.

I work from home as a freelance programmer, but even if they were just for personal use I would absolutely keep buying them.

That wasn't me user but I guess somebody else thought your manchild response was also cringey

Why would you use dual monitors to stare at the line in the middle?
You either go triple monitors or 1 monitor

>professional salaried career

the fuck

>tfw you have almost no space left on your desk
>posts image of a dual monitor setup with massive amounts of space

imagine being you

But what if I have a 32 inch monitor and 3 more monitors.

He's at work

>tfw OP is too fucking stupid to set up a three monitor system and instead uses two monitors split down the middle and crys like bitch on Jow Forums
Stop making stupid threads asshole

>t. underaged fucking faggot
Go back to rebbit and take your shit memes with you

That's why I bought a single 2560x1600 monitor, works much better imo.

3 monitors > 1 monitor > shit > 2 monitors

I like this new pasta

Girlfriend has a dual monitor setup. Uses it to shitpost while playing vidya.

PM sent :^)

>not using a PLP setup

>the 20-30-20 meme
24-40-24 is what I use. Those 25x16 monitors usually suffer from image retention that can take a minute or two to completely fade away (at least the one's I've owned) which can be really distracting depending on what you're doing.

I sit back far enough that all 3*24" of my monitors are within my field of vision, I only have to move my eyeballs to focus on a section that needs focusing.
