What's the best value GPU right now? I've been out of the game for a while and as easy as it is, I don't want to pour over charts. Back in the day I got a 2500k for $150 and it lasted me forever, same with an overclocked Radeon 7950. I'm looking for something like that--85% as good as the best, but half the price or less.
I'm buying two for a his and hers setup so cheaper helps, but I can afford a little extra if it makes a big difference.
For a brand new card, as long as you're at 1080p the GTX 1060 3GB is a good option if you can get it for a good price. The 6GB version is still woefully overpriced last I checked. Ideally you want more than 3GB of VRAM, but not for the prices the vendors want. I should note that a 1050Ti isn't bad if you're willing to drop settings. For anything beyond 1080p, You're probably gonna pay through the nose.
For used, try and grab an RX480/470 or a GTX970 or 980. Avoid the 970 if you can, sicne 3.5.

980 or 980ti will do 1080p fine. Similar to 1060 in performance.
