Does Jow Forums use a key pass manager?

Does Jow Forums use a key pass manager?

I've been digging bitwarden. Even paid yearly to use the TOTP feature.

Yes, it's literally called "pass".

>bitwarden
why everyone is talking about this all of a sudden?

why is everyone talking about password managers? write that shit down

Same. pass is c o m f y

>using proprietary cloud botnets to store your passwords

>he carries his passwords with him when he leaves the house

why would i do that

>passwords are only unecrypted on your device locally when the user accesses them
>its hosted safely on a microsoft azure server in 256bit encyption
>daily routine backups
>you also have the option to host it yourself if yoy dont trust that

Its literally more secure than trying to do all that with keepass. And they do it for free

>more secure than trying to do all that with keepass
Fuck off, shill.

>proprietary
sweetie...

If they're making money on it, the US Federal government can easily extort them into putting in back doors.

Explain how it could be more secure with keepass.

The way i see it you have two option:
>a database for each device
>syncing it to a cloud service like google drive or dropbox

Paid shilling. It happens on Jow Forums too. This exact thread with the exact image has been reposted every day for the last week around and all the comments push people towards using bitwarden over other password managers. It's a shill

cant make a few eggs without breaking an omelette

>made in ASP.NET

>a database for each device
Are you literally (in the exact sense of the word) retarded?

>Paying for TOTP
>storing TOTP in the same place as the password
I understand if you want a cloud password manager, it's easy to set up and works almost flawlessly on computers and smartphones.
But I can not understand why the fuck are you storing the TOTP there. What's the fucking point? If, by some God forsaken miracle, someone hacks your account, they will have not only your passwords, but also the fucking TOTP, which is supposed to be offline.
Come on

I don't understand do you make your own server with bitwarden?

Why would I use it if its Open source but I can't run my own server???

Keepass is the right answer

Technically you can, but it's Affero-licensed, meaning you have to comply with ridiculously burdensome requirements.

hell no

KeePassXC

>he stays signed in to things
You're an actual retard if you:
1) Know your passwords
2) Stay signed into websites because of [0]

If you need to sign into a website but don't know your password and you've only written it down somewhere then you need to carry that password with you.

[0] nirsoft.net/utils/web_browser_password.html

Well you can sync it but then your using the botnet your argument.

Not shilling just genuinely curious why keepass is any better

Why not? If you lose your smartphone that does TOTP your fucked. This way everything is synced and the only thing yoy need to worry about is your master passwors. Im about to buy on of those fido keys just for my master account.

>Not shilling just genuinely curious why keepass is any better
And you were curious about that several times this week? A thread died for this

this whole website is based on concept of repeating posts that get answers over and over until people finally get tired and move to the next repetitive post

fpbp, came here to make sure it had already been posted.

probably some botnet shit.

Cause i have yet to figure this out. Isnt using keepass and backing it up to a proprietary cloud service the same as bit warden?

Its open source

Option three: Syncing it between devices, in your own LAN [or if you want, over the internet]. Pretty simple.

>Cause i have yet to figure this out.
do some googling
also sage goes in options field

What if youre not on your own network?
What about wireless devices?

> What if youre not on your own network?
Then you sync when you are, or between the current devices directly [own network also includes your own mobile phone in AP mode].

> What about wireless devices?
What about them? They use WLAN - your own network again. You're not keeping passwords on some crazy device that is only accessible by satellite phone, are you...?

I used to carry a USB encrypted with a portable version of Vera Crypt that contained all my passwords in separate .txt files along with other important documents.

Now I only remember my banking, amazon and primary emails passwords in my head and the rest of the non important shit is in a notebook under lock and key.

I would never trust my important passwords to any software, no matter how secure it's supposed to be.

That's some next level autism.

LastPass + 2FA is GOAT.
>B-but it was """"breached""""
Read the articles more carefully next time, numbnuts.

Thanks! I rarely receive compliments.

Bitwarden is free software.

>be average faggot
>pay someone so they can store your passwords
>give someone potential control over your accounts
>go whine about botnets and spyware online
mfw, dont be faggot faggot just remember them
Inb4 too stupid to remember 5passwords, 10 tops

It's FOSS, has a better android app than LastPass, and is basically better than LastPass
If you don't trust their servers, you can host your own also, they give you the source code to do it

Fuck off, shill.

Not him but I stay signed into websites due to cookies, I just outright disabled my browser asking to save passwords.

right , was thinking the same . giving away your passes , wtf

>using key manager
>2018
Enjoy your keys lacking

This.

use keeweb for all passwords that can't spend any money or are end points if you will, so i dont have to use my good passwords that i do remember for pleb forums and the like

This.
