2/10 attempt.
You don't. The pads are fucked.
Definitely fucked.
download more RAM
flux and a heatgun.
Not worth fixing unless you have a $10,000 machine to re-align the solder points. Even then, it's a long shot. Buy a new stick.
stop being a retarded gamer and buy a thinkpad
Stick it in the oven and give the spicy RAM to your brother, Dominic
How could you give your own brother the spicy RAM, Dominic?
Can u post the pic. I have not see it in years Dominic
Blast it with piss
Why would you want to fix that? It's better without the extra shit.
Install gentoo
And without the extra chip?
genstall intoo
you have to pry it just a little bit harder next time.
this
Thanks darling
do it to the other stick so the latencies will be symmetrical
Not worth fixing.
Do you have access to the correct solder mask for those RAM modules, solder paste, and a hot air rework station? If so, why do you still need to ask? If not, go buy new RAM.
speaking of which, how does one take off shells from ram to avoid OPs picture
stale rerererererepost
Why does it matter? Just leave them on
So.... whats the benefit of shells on ram?
those are heatsinks
Seems like marketing overkill desu
i've got an infrared thermometer and removing these "heatsinks" made the temps go down
IT ain't for weak minds
literally this, just use a hair dryer if you don't have a heat gun it should work on high setting
I've bought chinese RGB heatsinks for my gf and they actually worked (as heatsinks) plus gave her a girly pink color for her build.
A thread died for this weak repost.
geotollintsan
Why are you posting the same thread from a few months ago user?
It's finished.
Bite the bullet and spend all your savings on new ram. Why the fuck would you remove the heat spreader?
A hair dryer fixes ripped off pads?!?
Thinkshit. Bad screens and QC issues
You will need to reball, for a stick of ram that's not worth it. If you wanna try save a buck put it in the oven, aligned as best as you can get it, around 180C I think. Turn it up if you must. You'll need to remove the heatspreader as thall just melt and any stickers on it too.
Get a tray, cover in tin foil, place ram with stickers, rubber, heat spreader removed etc, align the dram chip. Put in.
Have you tried just using the ram as is?
It's just connected with dry solder. Really not hard to fix if you align it correctly.
A hot needle and a steady hand
this, you've torn the traces, it's not even worth attempting to repair that
lmao
Mail to Louis Rossmann and complain about apple
This.
Shitty copy pasta
Don't worry, 7GB of ram are enough
Many small cases and large CPU coolers(which work better to cool RAM) cannot fit the retarded useless GAYMAN RGB RACING RAM heatsinks but sometimes those kits are cheaper
So instead of just getting a kit that fits for $15 more, you’d rather risk ripping off a chip? ok lol
