Your belittling a stranger on the internet for saying that video games can be fun. Isn’t that more childish than actually playing video games?
Easton Scott
>tfw you troll a gamer minecraft style
Zachary Bennett
>good one, you got me Solomon >how will I ever recover from this
Lucas Cook
lmao
Kevin Roberts
Whenever I use my friend's PC I can just feel the pajeetery behind Windows 10. It's slow as shit, it looks like shit, it is shit.
Evan Edwards
IT field tech here. The last big update is royally fucking with the computers on our college campus. Half of them are failing it and the other half are having network problems now. Still, it beats having to drive our Macs to the local Apple store to be worked on
Jacob King
this
Jacob Morris
what if there was an OS that didn't auto update and could be repaired without taking it to a mac store.
oh wait..
Nicholas Evans
Windows 7?
Nicholas Ortiz
Isn’t say that teaching the old as fuck faculty and staff how to use it would be a Herculean task considering they can barely use Mac and Windows despite having been exposed to them for years
Austin Jenkins
>most cashier systems are based on microshit/ibm trash stuff truly the OS of the jews
windows honestlty is annoying and so is mac if not more, I find GNU / Linux mush easier

Oh but no, Windows isn't a product that you buy, Windows is a service you pay to use, and it's Microsoft's computer now, you just have the right to use it how and when they say.
wake me up when reactos comes out stable, but for now I'm sticking with windows 10, I could easily go to Linux but idont know how to dual boot easily, and I want certain looks in a distro I'm very picky.
Luke Perez
Most distros set up dual boot for you, I think? Kinda impossible to fail there
Isaac Collins
Linux is a kernel.
Brody Morgan
I love Windows and have been using it for 20 years. Enjoy your obsolete software, whatever trash it is.
Bentley Russell
Don't forget: >Windows update >Not *nix based, shitty terminal >Builtin security flaws because of backwards compatibility >Pushed down in your throat by computer vendors having it preinstalled everywhere >Costs money >Supports pajeet technologies like .NET >BSOD
Sebastian Young
Just today I finally took a look at the laptop my mother was using while I was away, it got updated to Vindaloo 10 and Jesus H. Christ the task manager might as well be renamed 'Whack-a-mole' because no matter how hard you kill a service it just comes back.
>HDD on older laptop hammered by unknown Windows service at 99% most of the time >random processes taking turns to eat up 50% CPU usage for minutes at a time >telemetry
This is Windows 10 Home by the way, the worst version. I have never seen such a mess before. Even the shitty Linux distros that haven't been updated since 2008 are better than this.
Cooper Mitchell
Mac was pretty good a few years ago, but Apple switched to Pajeet-development too.
Christopher Edwards
At least I am not using Shitnux
Joseph Howard
Linux on the code side support games pretty much as well as windows. Same level of graphical API support, same level of audio support, same level of multimedia timers, all the massive work into making wine be able to run windows games. And to be fair, if i was building a dedicated gaming machine like an arcade game, i would not think on windows by any means because it would mean adding 200 dollars for something that on the best would be useless and on the worst would make my cabinet more expensive due higher memory requirements and having to dodge the windows trying to steal my frames. So there's no actual escape.
But at least linux filters out DRM crap that protect souless AAA cashgrabs so not bad.
Cooper Jones
Linux is a kernel; a program in a system.
Brandon Brown
Linux is the kernel, the OS and the holy spirit.
Jack Reyes
Apple's development team is still the same. What do you mean?
Eli Richardson
A kernel is exactly what you boot.
Thomas Garcia
No it's not. The many security flaws in the recent years and the insecure architecture choices go hand in hand with them hiring more and more copy/pasta Pajeets. Once Pajeets get into any management level positions they will hire other Pajeets and your company starts producing software that is as shitty as your office restroom floor.
Owen Nelson
This is Apple, you don't tag your cousin along with you. Craig's team are just having a shit year and Apple barely hires Indian anything. This isn't some startup you're talking about here. They're fucked for other reasons but its not because of hiring Indians.
Carter Morgan
What are those problems then? Besides prioritizing iOS and not having the dedicated resources for macOS anymore.
Nicholas Adams
>Paying for windows
Jaxon Walker
If you're doing a commercial product that will potentially give you millions, you HAVE to pay for shit, because well, it will be worth to pay layers to hunt you down. It's actually both microsoft and adobe strategy. They "let" you pirate their shit, get used to it, and when you get hired, your boss have to actually buy it or microsoft/adobe will sue em.
But as linux/BSD etc are equally good if not better in this specific case, there's absolutely no reason to use windows on this case.
Josiah Jenkins
It sucks, but it's still way better than any linux distro.
An average desktop user shouldn't be forced to a command prompt to get things done. Thats a deal breaker for most of the population
Liam Ward
CAD industry does the same shit, it's the reason why is full of anti Blender shills. Microsoft gives away all those IDEs for all platforms that aren't windows, to make it possible for people to learn .NET with C#. Because if people learn that, they will program for Windows systems.
Bentley Gray
Windows 10 still supports 16 bit software. Do you think modern antivirus would detect malware written in turbo c?
Justin Rivera
You can have the same exact OS and software minus systemd if you don't like it. You can't extract and keep the good parts of windows.
Carter Ward
that is very impressive.
Nicholas Hill
>20gb windows.old folder that I cannot delete or even modify permissions despite being the sole user and admin
If it wasn't for webm's and the like making my cpu go supernova in Linux I would ditch this shit OS on my X230.
Absolutely correct. >India has become a major ingredient in Apple’s secret sauce, and the scale may surprise many. So basically, what you just said.
Christopher Bennett
Amazing how people are willing to compile their own tools and figure out terminal commands to do anything on Linux but if it is more than one click on Windows it is bad. Deleting the Windows.old folder is literally 3 steps, not too hard to figure out.
Mason Ross
GNU/Linux*, Linux is a kernel.
John Kelly
I know, but no one gives a shit.
Noah Stewart
>but if it is more than one click on Windows it is bad
Tends to happen when you have to play for something. You know, expecting it to work.
>windows slogan is literally just werks >somehow it's okay to put the same amount of efforts as compiling your own kernel to just delete a 20GB folder of bloat
Hudson Gray
It does work. It just requires a few more clicks. Are you saying that if you buy a software and something takes more than one click it is broken but if you get it for free and it takes 2 hours to do something it is the freedom you want?
Brody Ortiz
It is literally Disk Cleanup -> Delete old Windows versions. How does that even compare to compiling your own kernel?
Jonathan Russell
Every popular OS has had major security flaws last years nothing new here. If you think Linux or Windows or any *BSD is much better you are wrong.
Ayden Howard
It is literally make make modules_install make install
dumb nigger.
Angel Harris
First you gotta trim down the config otherwise it's pointless to compile your own kernel.
Mason Perez
at least it works
Julian Campbell
I was using Linux for 3 years as my main OS but I switched to Windows because I couldn't be bothered dealing with the issues I was having anymore, like: >only partially fixed screen tearing >broken browser scroll speed >shutdown hanging on plymouth screen and needing me to physically hold down the off button at times >restarts not working and instead just turning CPU fan to 100% and doing nothing >broken/non-existent media thumbnails >file managers that can't remember their last opened position >file managers that don't have working bookmarks because the bookmarks file has by default wrong fucking permissions and needs manually fixing >file managers that can't open files (not a joke) And most of this is on Xubuntu, supposedly a great distro.
>no package management >run by pajeet >built in backdoors >tons of viruses built just for windows >built in surveillance software Legit complains >looks like butt garbge OOTB Looks about on par with most Linux distros, but with actually useful software >slows down your computer ? >no freedom Linux/GNUfags have freedom, and after more than 20 decades still have a half-baked OS that's useless if your daily tasks aren't limited to internet surfing and movie watching >ships with extra bloat Pretty much all Linux "dependencies" can be considered bloat, you just have to download them later instead of installing outright
Andrew Lewis
That has been a problem for years. Fuck updates
Dominic Turner
>ticking boxes in menu_config about as hard as going through the millions of buttons and tabs from windows control panel
Landon Sanchez
>Looks about on par with most Linux distros, but with actually useful software t. excel monkey You don't need muh computerz if all you're doing is basic accounting or stupid digital painting. Leave the use of those machines to people who actually use it, instead of trying this hard to be a tech savy spouting buzzfeed memes.
Christopher Harris
Roughly the same here, but I'm thinking of going back. I switched back to Windows right before 8 came out and every iteration since then has been torture compared to 7. That Windows Update exists and is part of the flagship product of a giant company that can write blank checks for R&D is mind-boggling.
Gavin Richardson
shit is still shit, you cum-guzzling retard.
Wyatt Gomez
>but with actually useful software Whenever someone says this I imagine they have thousands of dollars of pirated commercial software that they run once and forget about after installing. Believe it or not, you can have a job (a good one at that) and not need Windows on your home computer. At the absolute least, a virtual machine usually suffices, and is a good way to use Windows without feeding the botnet any personal info. >Linux/GNUfags have freedom, and after more than 20 decades still have a half-baked OS Windows doesn't have freedom and is also half-baked. >Pretty much all Linux "dependencies" can be considered bloat, you just have to download them later instead of installing outright A Linux distro setup with multiple extra packages set up is extremely smaller and usually much lighter than a vanilla Windows install with no third party software. Distro dependencies are as-needed, you don't have a tremendous pile of legacy files from old OS versions taking up space from your furry midget porn.
ha ha ha all the retards and underage faggots ITT don't they know that all you do is disable windows update in services.msc ha ha new retards are born everyday and what can i say, this is why companies get away with doing shit like this ha ha
It's not different but anons will do everything they can to defend leenookz even if they are being jewed on the side so they can still hate microsoft terrible choices. It's a thing we see on Jow Forums a lot, you don't judge product by product but instead you try to give a persona to a company and make the one you like into the good guys fighting the man even if both are giant soulless corporations who only care about profit. What matters is the feels not hard facts you see.
William Campbell
Bollocks, these windows hate threads are literally for people who use windows daily. Just look at this fag here , aside from the fact he clearly has no idea of what he's talking about, he, like yourself, only uses his OS (aside from browsing the internet and watching movies) for gaymen and making powerpoint presentations. And that is a recurrent pattern of all the shills in this thread. You see, I have to deal with windows at work every fucking day, it's hell, so obviously when there's a thread dedicated to its hate, I will participate. Maybe it would have been different if all my worst experiences at work were on linux, and I'd have windows installed at home. Or maybe if I knew linux as much as I do windows. Maybe. But that doesn't change the fact I'll continue venting my frustration in such threads, and advocating for linux in most situations, until the situation is reverted.
Ryan Edwards
>Makes autistic rant >Tries to ad hominem me with you're just a gaymer who uses powerpoint every day! You just don't understand how my riced arch is superior mang >Proceeds to talk about muh work on windows every day to validate his claims. Good job user, I also have a work and it happens to be with computahs too, it's an amazing thing right? I'm just going to sit here and continue enjoying you anons rant about companies like this shoving your own biases into the mix instead of analyzing and judging products one by one by said companies. System D was a bad decision and it went against the principles of linux to begin with but muh microsoft is evil poo in loo so there's no way something bad can be inside of linux.
Bentley Morgan
>I also have a work and it happens to be with computahs too, it's an amazing thing right? Obviously, nobody waste so much time trying to defend such a shit company (that doesn't need it anyways) on a mongolian tapestries forum if they weren't paid to do so.
>System D was a bad decision and it went against the principles of linux to begin with but muh microsoft is evil poo in loo so there's no way something bad can be inside of linux. LMAO >b-b-b-b-b-but systemd ! Just don't use systemd. I guess you really believe everything is as shit as your employers' product, where you're stuck with the shit that comes out of the box ?
Thomas Lopez
yeah, but it's that or linux/mac so not much of a choice.
Levi Hernandez
Linux is hell too on desktop sure managing your own desktop isn't a problem but lets switch all those workstations from Windows to Linux and see how fast problems start to arrive. You can't just apt update and apt upgrade on all those machines because if shit breaks you have bigger problems.it's an entirely different story to maintain your desktop vs 300 workstations running linux. AD makes things a breeze.
Jackson Baker
>giving 300 monkeys with a suit admin rights to let them install w/e software they want kys
Sebastian Jones
>If they hate wangblows, they love loonix END THIS MENTALITY ALREADY, what the fuck, OpenBSD is superior gnulinux owo desktop thread IN EVERY ASPECT
Well, they are waste of time, a time that you could spend learning new stuff or exercising (you fat fuck)
Wyatt Hernandez
People who know what they do.
Hudson Reyes
Hi, my name is rakesh. I'm your sysadmin.
Sebastian Bell
That is true, AD is a fucking blessing, and I don't even need much to make it play nice with our Ubuntu rdp clients. On pretty much anything else though, there isn't much of a gap between Windows and Linux enterprise services, other that maybe needing an antivirus server to manage the Windows clients, because fuck those retards literally clicking everything with bright colors.
