I'm about to pull the tigger on some DT880s mainly for video games on my PC, but which version am I supposed to get? I had no idea there were different ones, but I am getting a little amp for them

Avoid the limited edition black and chrome versions cause those are built cheaper than the normal pro/premium.

For gaming it sounds like a nice upgrade from most of the audio technica air headphones.
Probably comparable to the ad2000x with each having different strengths.

250 or 600ohm. The lower impedance one is a variant for plebs that have no amp, and sounds worse overall. Most motherboards and smartphones these days have amps. Ultimately, if you can afford it, you should be looking at HD600, since headphones are a long-term purchase.
