Total across the board replacement

Ok. but how do I do it as a poor person?

Not him but Ryzen 3 2200g + cheap mobo + new ram. Keep the disk, case and psu from your old pc

Get a job

No

Used parts. I grabbed i3 6100, h110 mobo, 1td hdd, 1060 3gb for around ~800 cad

Pretty much this. Ryzen is good chips and has a longer upgrade path than Intel.

I was running a Q6600 with a 4830 overclocked to 4870 levels until a year and a half ago when I bought this old-ass off-lease Sandy Vag i5 and installed a mighty 750Ti.

try this, op. you can get a super cheap cpu upgrade.

delidded.com/lga-771-to-775-adapter/

No, mine is better because I run Linux.
Also you're a winfag.

Waste of money. The Vega 8 in the 2200G and a 750Ti are on par performance wise.
Might as well buy a Ryzen 5 1600 and keep the 750TI.

overclocked e5450 and up cpus are still surprisingly competent.

i mean, why bother

get a job, dumpster diving or second hand parts
what kind of metrics are those, what the fuck does 6.2, 10 and 8.4 mean, shit website desu

I got a Q8200 and a GTS250 and no SSD

get a cheapo i5 2400 office pc and put the 750 ti in there until you can afford a better gpu and psu

SSD and graphics card are good enough depending on your use case but rest of it belongs in the bin

Your SSD will do and at 1366x768 your GPU is fine even for gaming. What you need is a new CPU, RAM and mobo.

Buy used. Look for local companies selling off their leased computers. You can grab at least a first-gen Dell Core i5 with 4 GB DDR3 at such sales, but aim for a second-gen i5. Put your GPU and SSD in it, keep the original HDD, then buy another 4 GB of RAM off Craigslist, eBay, or whatever. You'll have an improved computer.

I have a GTS250 I don't use. It is an absolute power hog compared to what a 1030 can do these days.

I still got friends running shit as old as 8600GT 9600GT and 9800GTs

Those old cards simply just won't die.

My 9800GT had bad memorychips from the factory. So it was why I replaced it with the GTS250.
It was strong graphics cards, and they are still capable of playing the games from their era. Which is a lot of good games.

correct

Not sure why it only says 'i7' but it's a 7700k.

Attached: speccy.png (588x523, 24K)

I bought mine 9600 GT in 2008 and it never had problems Only changed thermal paste 2-3 times.

Seems decent enough to me, maybe get a Xeon CPU for Socket 775 from the Chinks, and try getting something like a 1050Ti, I use one and it works awesomely on 1440p for the older games I play.

even my pc that sits at the end of my bed for nighttime casual gaming/media consumption is far better

Poor fags move the fuck out of my way.

I will upgrade CPU when I feel like my overclock isn't doing it anymore.

>try getting something like a 1050Ti
OP has a low-res monitor. Being a poorfag, he will probably upgrade to 1920x1080 when he upgrades. Add to this the fact that the 1050 Ti won't be that much of an improvement on a 750 Ti and his money is better spent elsewhere.

What the hell, OP? This is your monitor?

Attached: not a monitor.png (1134x369, 106K)

Did not notice the resolution, I guess your 750Ti could work very well up to prob 1080p.

Still I do think a new proper Xeon is good enough of an upgrade.

Even a 960 has problems running 1080p, at least if you play newer games. The 1 GB versions are even worse.

>105C
Jesus Christ atleast get a good cooler

Nice 1366x768 resolution.

Nice.

it's speccy it has no idea wtf it's talking about

>even a 960 has problems running 1080p
I have used a 960 4GB for 2 years no and I've always played high/ultra with 60fps, recently upgraded to 2 way SLI tho.

Can't take my brisbane away from me

Attached: 1514637532647.png (762x532, 71K)

i want phil to cover this on his channel already

What?
My brothers PC with a R9 270 runs almost every game at high res and with proper fps.
Still these are not current year AAA games, but if you are a poorfag you prob don't have enough money for those games anyway uWu

factoring in the +20c offset you're still @ 85C

You don't
Shit time to upgrade and even worse if you need a gpu
Buy used ironically it's not much cheaper these days considering ram prices and gpu market are fucked ssd and hdd as well fucking chink superfab cartels

>keep PSU
House fire, avoid this.

you've got to another 40+ retarded speccy offset

Considering buying an 2015 HP atom tablet with a stylus for 30$ to use as a low power desktop.

Would it work for Word, CAD, and gimp/kirita, dropbox?

I feel wasteful using my desktop or laptop (non-replaceable proprietary battery) for word with 2 pdfs in background.

bump trump

Which model ?

Recently had to replace my MOBO, CPU and PSU because the old CPU blew out the MOBO and fried the PSU wires. Also had to get jewed into DDR4 because newer MOBO's/CPU's aren't compatible with 3.
Upgrading to a new GPU isn't worth it at the moment.

hp pro 408, used, sold as some office is getting rid of them

I'm slightly worried about quality of pen, as this is the reason why I pick it rather than something else with atom.

i saw on aliexpress some tablet for 200$ with 4 ram and x5-8350 and 8700

I have a 960 2G and it struggles with PUBG Low.

Attached: Speccy.png (1441x875, 369K)

get a used sandy bridge pc, you can get them pretty cheap and you can just pop in your 750ti

Welcome to the club

Attached: mainpc.png (1264x670, 150K)

its not that bad user, other than processor upgrade i wouldn't change much.

Attached: 1526491638751.gif (218x216, 6K)

Heh I got 5200+ here u want?

Yeah I got it for like 50 bucks on black friday.

pubg is unoptimized as fuck my friend

Dude, just get a Dell®.™

pretty much like my specs desu. I recomended upgrade to 8gb of ram and put a xeon prossesor.

Attached: nostalgicfag.png (704x512, 40K)

It's not offset anything, it's speccy being fucking retarded.
My 2700X shows 105c when it's running at 31c, VRMs at 40.

8 months ago your pc would've been better than mine , i had 2 gb ram +intel dual core e2180.

>more then 1 core
heh look at this

Attached: toaster.png (711x543, 39K)

mines pretty bad

Attached: screenfetch.png (1142x480, 49K)

really slow ram on the hyperv, desu

Q6600, 6gb ram, 120gb HDD and radeon hd6670 checking in.. No op yours is better lol

no but I'm still using 3GB of RAM because my 8GB kit died (or rather, one of the DIMMs died). I then sent it back under this lifetime warranty kingston has (original memory was over 4 years old).

They then sent me a replacement set of slightly slower RAM (wasn't massively bothered about it since it was still free) that, upon installing into 2 different PCs, was revealed to have 1 broken DIMM.

So, I contact customer support and she says that they don't have any more DDR3 ram except for "FURY" RAM, which is slower than both of the previous sets.

I then get her to agree to sending a 16gb kit instead and i'm now waiting for a label to send it back free of charge.

TL:DR free ram upgrade

Jeez I had 9500GT in 2008 and it died in 2013. Nigga how the fuck are you still running that card for 10 years? are you using PC once a month?
