I have invited two people, one is still active and has a great ratio and the other refused the invite after some time and said he would probably not upload and would not want to get me kicked for it which is pretty honest and respectable desu.
I have been invited two private trackers twice, one does not exist anymore, sadly, and one the other I have a 3+ ratio, unironically invited to the latter one on Jow Forums.
What's a good book tracker, especially obscure sci-fi that does not have ebooks, so scanned stuff. I used one years ago, but it got BTFO, don't even remember the name. Currently using the IRC book resource from /lit/ and mobilism's book page.

does it really take that much out of your day when the website goes down? it seems like people just like to sit and wait for their website to go down for the sole reason to come on here and complain about it. so what if the website goes down every now and then? it really is that important to you and those other people to obsess over a music tracker being down?
the value I personally have gotten from APL far outweighs the occasional outage. give the staff some credit for actually doing something to keep a community alive. sure, the staff should stay accountable for certain things, but for the most part they do a great job. 90% of the time the site is up, probably more than that, i think that's a pretty decent success rate for a website and staff that was thrown together after the shutdown of what.
the only thing that you and the other people coming on here saying "APL DOWN AGAIN, SAD!" is doing is fracturing a community that care about music, not just within the bounds of APL, but in regards to RED and whatever other music trackers are out there.
go listen to some of the music that you've downloaded but haven't had the time to listen to, your life will be better for it.

Handbrake is fine as long as nothing more than bog-standard IVTC is required. It's just a front-end for x264 and can make just as high a quality encode as any other way of calling it. Most Hollywood sources don't require much of anything in the way of filtering so there's nothing wrong with it.
