Why are they so fucking bad? The last 2 month I've gone through 3 different ink-jet printers from 3 different branch and 3 different price segment and they all suck. Is it worth it to bite the bullet and spend >300$ for an all-in-one laser printer?

Mostly personal. But I want it to include scanner aswell.
Which model is it? I have no problem with connectivity but the monochrome text looks like shit. I mostly want automatic duplex, scanner and good enough color. Price shouldn't exceed the cheapest all in one lazer printer.

Most all in one lasers are shit for photos (very few exceptions, some make passable photos) and many are even shit for graphics.
