great thread

Firefox is fucking shit, and I really hope you're not saying Firefox protects your privacy

It's okay to be butthurt faggot, but Firefox hasn't been good in years

and how would you know if you're not even using it

Attached: works on my machine.png (200x193, 30K)

Because anytime I do use it it's terrible. I don't see any reason why anyonr would use it over chrome

how is it 'terrible', please elaborate.

This
Other than the SJWs developing it
It's fine

It's slow as shit, doesn't provide anything extraordinary like other third party browsers, and has barely improved at all in the last few years. It's like I said there's no real reason to use it other than "lulz fuk geegle".

>has barely improved at all in the last few years
Bullshit. Why are you even on this board if you don't pay attention to technology?

>It's slow as shit
> and has barely improved at all in the last few years
objectively wrong since quantum

>doesn't provide anything extraordinary like other third party browsers
define 'extraordinary'

> "lulz fuk geegle"
that alone is reason enough. why are you browsing the internet with a product made by a company that makes its money with selling your personal data to the highest bidder and also targeting ads directly at you?
inb4 muh milliseconds

How is that bullshit?
You do realize literally every companies online does this right? Whether it's directly or not, one way or another your data is being sold. If you think Firefox gives a shit about protecting your personal data you are a fool. None of the mainline browsers stops any website from doing this.

>How is that bullshit?
Firefox has undergone a massive transformation over the past 3 years or so. They totally revamped the extension system and also implemented multiprocess, which improved performance dramatically. The fact that I have to explain this to you proves my last post. You came out of /b/ before you were done baking.

The best is Iridium

>How is that bullshit?
quantum

>one way or another your data is being sold
>what is the GDPR
reminder that mozilla did not have to change anything to be GDPR compliant while google had to bend over backwards to meet the requirements.

>tabs hanging constantly (pic related)
>can't handle a dark theme properly
>have to disable a bunch of the built in bullshit like pocket
>noticeably slower than chrome
Just my experience of course, but every time I've used Firefox its been a worse experience.

IE11 is better

>not blocking your browser in firewall for privacy

Source?

Firefox is extremely slow on KDE it's not even funny.

>throwing away your privacy entirely xd
People actually believe this?

> Firefox is slow because of DE
pls

It consumes all my 4gb of ram in less than 5 minutes.

>based mozilla already was already gdpr compliant before it was even necessary
>google has to make a 360 to not get sued instantly
>probably still not compliant but more sneaky now
>this is somehow an argument to trust google more than mozilla

I used to run a shitty minipc on my TV and firefox - even after quantum - got incredibly slow as soon as there was some fancy HTML5 shit or more than one embedded video. Opening some .io game froze it in the best case.
Brave (and with brave Chromium too) was just more usable. I also still have a netbook, it's the same there, Firefox doesn't like it.

The best benchmark is always your own experience.
Maybe there is some other setup where Firefox is better, maybe most people won't fucking care about unnoticable few milliseconds on some average PC. But in all cases of bad hardware i experienced, Chromium or its clones were just more usable.

This. All the other third party browsers have features to make up for the trade off in speed. Brave has native adblocking, pale moon is easy to rice, opera has a built in vpn, ect.

firefox is just bloated and slow

It's ridden of botnet and spyware. Vivaldi and Iridium contain less of spyware and perform the same as Chrome.

Daily reminder; Chrome is slower than Safari on macOS, the 1 true chad OS.

Safari best browser.

>chrome

>This is clearly the best browser out right now.
*right now* it is, but Chrome is not sustainable. Any software created by hack-and-slash devs will reach it's peak and then quickly plummet, causing all kinds of liabilities and vulnerabilities. On a bad note, take Firefox. On a good note, take MSIE, discontinued but not even a scratch.

>an argument to trust google more than mozilla
your reading comprehension fucking sucks, i am saying the exact opposite.

blog.mozilla.org/internetcitizen/2018/05/23/gdpr-mozilla/

>compaing browser speeds
>ignoring privacy issues

I still have Chrome installed for when I watch Twitch or YouTube so I can use uBlock Origin but the other 99% of my time I use Edge and unironically love it. Using the reader mode on news sites is great and makes everything easier on my eyes.

Attached: 1600.png (1600x1600, 20K)

But I don't. In fact, it's my favorite browser.

That's your problem. 4GB is pretty much at the limit of a usable PC with modern OS and programs nowadays. You might want to consider using a bare bones browser or stop keeping quadrillions of tabs open.

>owned by jewgle
>milliseconds faster on some pages
>customization and privacy levels are way lower than firefox
>not fully open source like firefox

I'll do admit that ff does come with some bloatware, such as pocket, but considering it is easy to disable them, and you can get much more control over your browser, I consider firefox a better option than chrone

fpbp

Edge has uBlock Origin

But this doesn't happen in firefox.
