Basic setup. I'm aware that the white background of the terminal doesn't really fit the rest, but I use this laptop to work and I hate working with white letters on dark background, because it fucks my sight up.

I use sxiv for that
>select image
>ctrl+x ctrl+c to copy the path to the image
>ctlr+l to show the pathbar on the gtk file picker
>ctrl+v to paste the image path
it's quicker and easier than it sounds
also, I have keybinds to open the most common image directories in sxiv thumbnail mode so I don't have to waste time using the terminal to browse to an image dir and run sxiv from there and 99% of the time
here's my key-handler ix.io/1c7u

Hello, Trisquel brother, how did you manage to connect your computer to the internet? Did you use non free wi-fi drivers?

Wall

lol

>Treating the T440p good
>ubuntu
for fuck's sake

Either way, it seems like his Trisquel distro is connected to the internet.

Attached: args.png (1366x768, 1.26M)

considering there's a host section, I'd bet he's just running a vm
freedom is great but it shouldn't impede your ability to have a working machine

why you give something to your GF that will mistreat her? did she cheat on you or something?

Attached: background.png (2560x1440, 703K)

why don't you use a more feature rich tiling wm like i3 or awesome? i mean you're already using funtoo

Attached: bread_conspiracy.png (500x376, 245K)

bspwm has every feature i need

i3 is for polybar ricers

awesomewm is bloated 2011 Jow Forums tier

"bloated"
again, you're already using funtoo.

Attached: injured_good.jpg (960x960, 89K)

lol arch/void poster get out!

i don't use arch nor void. but arch is much bigger than funtoo
care to disprove me stating funtoo is a bloated distro?
1. openrc is already large itself but also depends on sysv, making it the largest init behind systemd
2. portage is a gigantic mess made in python.
also i dont use void

Attached: JOE_editor_logo.png (90x90, 7K)

lol openbsd cuck?

openrc is fine, portage is fine

i never said they were bad, they're just massive compared to pretty much anything else
i don't use openbsd either

comfy user. How is PekWM anyway? I was always hesitant of Desktop Environments, although I like XFCE for the yearish I've been using it after using Window Maker for years. I've never cared for tiling window managers, so I assume by your screenshot it's floating.
"""minimalist""" autism is stupid. It doesn't matter how many packages you have installed if you're not using all of them. Building from the top down > building from the ground up. Hell, I have less packages installed than the average Arch screenshot I see on this board.

Attached: screen26.png (1920x1080, 2.08M)

"it smassive" "its massive bro!"

are oyu some kind of suckless cuck who wants a featureless system with 2 lines of code

you seem to have autism which is probably why you have never had sex

difference between i3 and dwm?

i3 is what ricers use for tiling gaps and spending 40 minutes a day ricing a status bar

dwm is suckless cuck core software that is literally featureless out of the box

i3 has pretty good bindings out of the box and dwm doesnt

nice to see someone using slackware. i recommend switching from sysv to runit or s6 for multiple reasons
skarnet.org/software/s6/why.html
pekwm is basically openbox with less dependencies, no weird way of handling themes, no XML while adding a few nice things. scrot isn't mine though

Attached: PowerBookG4.jpg (1200x854, 88K)

pretty much every twm has the same bindings out of the box

its literally spawn terminal shift windows, resize windows, tiling mode

quit redditposting. also again, you didn't disprove anything i said. i dont think more code = bad, but it's massive compared to pretty much every package manager and every init other than systemd. quit telling yourself your minimal, you're not. you don't have to be, but quit it.
you want minimal?
netbsd
openbsd
minix3
void
slackware
crux
sourcemage
any one of these with a shell like dash, cli programs and a wm like pekwm, openbox, xmonad or dwm
4gag thinks this is spam

Attached: tohru_smug.png (954x537, 473K)

>nice to see someone using slackware. i recommend switching from sysv to runit or s6 for multiple reasons
Been using Slack for about 5 years. Thanks for the compliment user. Runit is fanfuckingtastic. I dicked around with Void in a VM once and that shit blew my balls off and I've been heavily considering switching to it as an init.
>pekwm is basically openbox with less dependencies, no weird way of handling themes, no XML while adding a few nice things.
Sounds comfy. Will check it out brother.

>le crux sourcemage meme
>pedo chinese cartoon reaction image
>actually recommending netbsd and openbsd and minix

heh i can tell you work a wageslave job and don't use programming/computers for any practical purpose

sourcemage was virtually abandoned for years and crux is retarded with no software and a total of 10 users

good distros: gentoo/funtoo/slack

the rest: anime poster core

the best part also is I never ever said i was minimal and i am still extremely minimal

and then u try to flex your minimal autism clout minix and shit bsd like you matter and arent an Jow Forumsunixporn poster

Not an argument. Everything he recommended suits the purpose of which he is attributing them to. People who post shit like this are clearly hiding something, because you're projecting your insecurities like a fucking rear view projection television on the verge of giving out.
Slackware user here. I knew a guy who used Crux, and he liked it a lot. At the end of the day it doesn't fucking matter what distro you use as long as you're happy with it. Also SourceMage isn't abandoned anymore, so what's the point of bringing it up?
Comfy blue aesthetic. I quite like that color.

i cannot into terminal colours

crux isn't a meme. sourcemage is kind of eh. it's like portage (without bloat) but you basically have to manually enable USE flags for every package you install
>pedo
okay redditfag
>thinks *BSD is a meme
tell that to NASA
>minix
pretty shit but minimal. dont use it though
crux is good though. no shitty dependency management
>u
>still claims he's minimal
>flexing
never said i was minimal fag (but i am, more than you'll probably ever be)
i think i've made my point

i'm 99% sure you are below the age of 13

>anime posting

have fun being sent to jail because you want to fuck children

log off the internet its not minimal enough

enjoy your wage slave job or at best 2 year associates in web design at a community college you fucking faggot

wait fuck
fuck
i meant the fucking difference between bspwm and dwm
lol

What font nigga?

you're upset because you're either too lazy or ignorant to be able to install an OS that's not a bloated piece of slow shit
also quit redditposting

>lol autism never kissed a girl virgin core posting
You wish nerd.
>you are literal unemployed subhuman trash
I am employed.
>>bro i have 500 friends who use crux we all have 50 iqs which is very minimal of us
Great jab. It was just some dude on IRC. Quit getting worked up over it.
>>omg sourcemage isnt abandoned anymore! it now has 1 active user again!!!!! (that user is me i have minimalist swag...)
I'm not autistic enough to be a compiled distro nerd, but Source Mage sounds much more appealing to me than Gentoo because of it's focus on local configs instead of global ones. Why do you have a grudge against a distro that fills a niche that could make the lives of whoever was interested in it easier?
Also you type like a fucking retard. Please read pic related.
AND ON ANOTHER NOTE
NetBSD is fucking amazing. It's lagged years behind in development but it's by far my favorite BSD on paper, and I'd consider using it right the fuck now if my drawing tablet worked with it, and it had newer versions of WINE. I have little reason to leave GNU/Linux but NetBSD is one operating system I refuse to let people shit on. Godspeed to those poor bastards developing it.
>no shitty dependency management
Main reason I use Slackware. Crux is good in my book for that reason alone.
>posts on an anime imageboard
>complains about anime
I don't even watch anime nowadays and I'm fucking laughing at you.

I said chrome lmao

explain how it isnt aside from possibly SysV (which is still smaller than both openrc and systemd)
insecure AUR, systemd and shit package manager

shitty memepad

Attached: neofetchx61.png (1024x768, 355K)

He's probably complaining about "muh package count," and in that case, see Seriously, 1200 packages in base install isn't a bad thing if you're not using them all.

Attached: 4d5e794649e2aeb240340000-750.jpg (590x442, 58K)

did you not know that slackware comes with literally every dependency imaginable preinstalled because it's package manager doesn't support dependency resolution
it's literally the most bloated distro in existence

if you select them in the installer you illiterate cunt

>insecure AUR
AUR is amazing (unless your an idiot)
>systemd
is good
>shit package manager
nah not really pacman is pretty comfy, better than fucking slackware LMAO

1999 called they want their distro back LMAO

Nice. I loved the X61 but I got rid of mine since it wasn't libreboot compatible.

>Seriously, 1200 packages in base install isn't a bad thing if you're not using them all.
that's quite literally the definition of bloat

Attached: 2018-06-02-234207_2640x1064_scrot.png (2640x1064, 2.13M)

>slackware
literally the worst distro on the face of the earth
n-nice

I'm gay btw

AUR is handled by community and they found a bitcoin miner hidden in an snes emulator
>systemd is good
get mental help
pacman is shit and everyone knows it. names are shit, not using ports system, removing unused dependencies is practically a 70% chance of an hero'ing your system

>nah not really pacman is pretty comfy, better than fucking slackware LMAO
Pacman overwrites your fucking configs without permission, don't give me that shit nigger. It's somehow a worse package manager than apt, and that's saying something.
How is it bloat if your RAM usage is low? Disk space is the last thing you should worry about. You can buy 10 fucking terabyte hard drives for what amounts to one paycheck if you have a minimum wage job and you live with your parents (which applies to lots of people on this board.)
It's ultrastable and never fucking breaks. I'd say it's the best for that reason alone.
