Linux and GNU/Linux people, which window manager or desktop environment do you guys use?
Should I ever bother with graphical ones or just use one of the many text-based ones? I'm new to all this...

I used to use stumpwm for tiling, but the reality is I can manage myself just fine in a floating WM and Plasma is nice looking. Plus it's not the early 2000s anymore and DEs aren't horrible.
i3 on my laptop, cinnamon on my desktop (need it for the dpi scaling).
get linuxbbq on a usb or something to get an idea

I'm using xfce but I'm thinking about switching to xmonad
dwm user reporting in
I use i3 on everything. Works very well with two monitors on my desktop. Better than XFCE did by a long way.
I love using cinnamon. It's comfy and has everything I need. The theme I use for metacity borders makes them neat little boxes.
brainlets
intelligent sysadmin that makes 200k a year
2bwm, if I want a tiling wm I'll just use dwm.
Working is for retards.
If you're a sysadmin you're almost always using terminal. You are the NEET brainlet here.
>cinnamon
my all-time fav as well. Nemo is better than any FM in the existence.
besides openbox which are good if you some gui?
not into the full terminal/text maymay everyone here seems to circlejerk about
Do whatever the fuck you want. Nobody can say for you if the tiling wm is sufficient.
The creator of the Linux Kernel uses GNOME, so I guess that is ok for me too.
Tiling wms are not about terminal thingies if you're talking about them.
Now that I think of it, what do you actually mean by this?
