Why does OSX have the growing popularity that it does? It is objectively less functional than pretty much any other major operating system. It purposely hamstrings most functionality and is borderline unusable for anyone who uses a computer for more than office work or using a web browser. How has it managed to grow so large despite its very apparent flaws?.
The only thing it has going for it is a shiny UI with nice polish, is that really enough to build an operating system off of?
I use it for work. Kinda nice because I can SSH into my test boxes without Putty or gay shit. Plus, I can still use botnet " enterprise software" when needed.

Gonna need examples of all the problems you just listed off

I shitpost from my Mac Book Pro and there's nothing you can do about it.

Are we talking about Plan 9 or TempleOS here? It is unironically the most sophisticated personal OS with an order of magnitude more customisation and features than Windows. Even Snow Leopard was more advanced than current Windows 10. Stay angry poorfag, or hackintosh.

Mactoddlers have defended this.

I'm sure if you could get laid you would rather do that than sit on your computer.

Literally this.
I have a teacher who used to run arch, but went over to linux because the lack of choice helps him focus on work.
