i should mention, this is also through snort with about 4000 rules :)
sadly this pic is old and doesnt have my new router in it (its virtualized in this)... e3-1220v6 / 8gb ddr4 / gigabit management port (ipmi) / dual 10gbps sfp+ as well.
sandland has better internet than most of the world
NYC has gigabit available from Verizon.
The slowest speed they currently sell to new customers is 100/100mbps, the dude must be on a fairly old plan.
This is my 1gbps connection on wifi

Did you just use Google's speed test? Literally inaccurate every time.
why are we even playing this game?
what the fuck is wrong with your connection?
It's like you have comcast gigabit...but the opposite.
Instead of 938mbps download, you have 938mbps upload
and instead of 35mbps upload, you have 31mbps download.
Can't test. Torrenting.
Always torrenting.
I get this in Poortugal for 20€. Feels good man.
Misconfiguration at Bell, it's 1.35Gbit / 100Mbit now. I was very, very confused.
>1.35gbps
why tho?
Unless it has an SFP+ handoff, or it can do ethernet bonding to allow 2x1gbps ethernet to deliver more than the full 1gbps speeds, it seems pretty useless.
If it's giving you just a normal 1gbps ethernet handoff you'll be limited to 945mbps no matter what the provision on the fiber. 1.35gbps, or 10gbps, you'd still only get 945mbps usable.
Internet is just relative
pretty fast for my area. my isp offers faster packages but considering i don't have any buffering issues i don't see the point.
Mine is so shit it doesn't make a difference. Also, Google's speed test loads a lot faster
thank you for your information

Yeah no thanks, there's like 6-7 screen worth of "information partners" scooping data to consent to.
Sydney, Australia
Left is main DSL and right is backup over LTE.
