I'm a l8 hax0r. AMA anything.

I've taken the PWK AMA

What are you late for?

Honestly prefer my Ubuntu Python setup to Kali I only ever use like 5 of the fucking 10,000 tools that come on it. Can't even fathom Black Arch.

Just don't install it like all retards, it runs everything as root.

A very important date.

>this again
It's the same as the fucking Debian installer, don't set the root password and it'll create a normal user.

Just install the tools you need on a standard distro. Actually installing Kali is only done to roleplay as a hacker.

>literally script-kiddie the distro

Just read a book about it, and torrent or download it on library genesis

if you are using 2018 kali build, you need to run:

sudo rm -rf /

this will remove package conflicts from the fucking retards at debian, which kali is sadly based off.

i kinda like the blackarch repo ( or the pentoo overlay). both are just normal repos, you grab all you need from them and you're fine, withouth the other 99% of tools you will never need xD

yeah because kali isn't meant to be installed in the first place. its a toolstack you throw onto a usb key and you can just boot with all necessary tools.

root@kali ~ #
nothing personnel kiddo

>dath it mang
This. Haven't used since backtrack, but option to load entirely into memory was cash.

Are there any offline resource /tutorial on how to use the included tools in kali ?

man pages and readme files to start. intermediate+ just go to website for w/e util/program

install pentoo

Why would you install kali if you don't even know what it does? You can literally download the tools on any platform as they are old garbage.

Because I don't want to install those tools?
Most of the tools require system to be restarted to work and I don't know how to do that on live USB.

What is the non-script kiddie distro? Gentoo where you create all the tools yourself but cobbled together in barely legible C and Python?

>tools require system to be restarted to work and I don't know how to do that on live USB

I would suggest LARPing less and actually learning how to use a Unix command line beforehand. Walk first, then run.

Anyone know a good source to download?
Also does it come with Reaper pre-installed?

I unironically have passed OSCP
What do you need

wonder if the bait was taken

The year is 2018
Unless OP is a 12 year old, which he isnt since he is trolling, this bait doesnt work

meant forAnon can do both at the same time.
>hurrr wat better way to learn the unix shell than to use the unix shell
The readme files and the website for that distro should be adequate for procedure on updating and saving everything onto the same thumb drive ready for next boot. Presto, updated everything. My memory is a bit foggy, but breddy sure all such files are local and no need to be on line.

Kali linux is deprecated, install black arch
They just included every tool they could find on github on the main release, its like 10GB or something

I guess I can just make a .txt file and keep it on me.
I always forgot how to use some tools.
Does the latest build of kali comes with Krack Attack?

1. What tool do you use to crack authentication required prompt to access router settings?
2. Are there any tools to highjack bluetooth devices? mainly bluetooth speakers?

>Kali linux is deprecated
says who?
also blackedarch is buggy af

I like to do CTFs sometimes and it's alright for those. You will never really find yourself using all of the tools it comes with, but if you are just going to have it as a live CD for when you need it it's alright.

My nigga

Τheres a literal OSCP resources megacollection on /cybsec/

Kali is just fucking memelord ubuntu
just throw it in a vm and its like every other debian distro

Fuck VM's
Real hardware is where it's at

then use a usb drive
it make 0% sense to install it on an actual computer

Literally meme os. you need "specific" hardware of all 90% of the tools

You can also call it "Jew" linux

Penetration Testing - A hands on introduction to hacking

fuck that
I always go for a install as a main distro

No one site defaced still 90's

That really misses the point of Kali

if its like arch you're supposed to add user on your own, installer will only create root user

wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Users_and_groups#Example_adding_a_user

How?
I can access the tools at any time and easily carry this device with me anywhere

You're wrong, have you actually installed Kali? If you skip setting the root password, it will prompt for a normal username instead.

"Single user, root access by design: Due to the nature of security audits, Kali Linux is designed to be used in a “single, root user” scenario. Many of the tools used in penetration testing require escalated privileges, and while it’s generally sound policy to only enable root privileges when necessary, in the use cases that Kali Linux is aimed at, this approach would be a burden."

That's from their website. Being root all the time is pretty poor practice when using your daily driver. Kali isn't a good everyday driver OS, its intended to be whipped out, and plugged into any old computer to use its tools. If you want your system to be basically Kali, but more appropriate for a permanent install, just find out what tools you need, and install it on fedora or some variant of debian

Well you're a faggot
That's from the internet

I got a fat classmate that uses this to """program""" and he cant even do simple C exercises it's hilarious

>have you actually installed Kali?

no, which is why I said

>if

making everything that followed conditional

anyways, carry on
