Attached: 1528395016590.png (640x960, 659K)

Argons are worse than pro 82s.

Argons. Mid. HD800 above all stax

add argons to the scam list

I feel sorry for you guys who have not had the chance to hear the Argons. The wait time is even bigger now too. Should of got on when I did. Now you can be foxes.

HD 598s here

fuck you.

Sorry for ignoring you friend

Now, I don't know too much about the HD660S or the HD700, but I've heard that the HD700 only appeal to an ultraspecific crowd and the HD660S are generally regarded as pretty good headphones, so probably not.

Attached: 1504247328222.jpg (1600x1066, 224K)

I have argons, they're really not good. There seems to be a lot of post purchase rationalization.

why do you want to upgrade from the HD660S, they're really good user

You mean stax?

Why does everybody crap all over the DT 880s in these threads. I own a pair and I'm plenty happy with them. Affordable (certainly more than the HD600 or 650) and sound good to my ears.

880s are fine, haven't seen many people crapping on them. it's mostly people crapping on argons, which really do deserve it
they're awful headphones

nobody craps on the 880s what are you on about? Even the listshill admits that they're too good to be called a scam

I meant shitty infographics like calling 880s snake-oil and such (not this particular one but still calls them bad) while praising the HD650s. Mind you, the DT 880 PRO I got were almost half the price of both HD600 and HD650.

why the hell do so many headphones use proprietary mechanisms for attaching cables? is there any way to get around buying an expensive first party cable for most of these?

ty for the response

i ask because i can sell my hd660s and get the hd700 with no loss

>$50-100 cheaper than the HD600
>suprised and upset when someone says that they're a "decidely inferior but still partially redeemable alternative"

calm down you baby, the DT880s are good but only a niche crowd would place them above the audiophile favourite HD600 in either sound quality or value. Be glad you didn't fuck up and buy a pair of K701s. You've been whining about this for several days now.

Attached: 1509074494323.png (1577x1000, 912K)

>You've been whining about this for several days now.
I never post in these threads, I'm here for the freetardery, sorry for not realising that there was another dipshit whinging about this already.

I heard both the HD600 and DT 880 and didn't feel like the Sennheisers justified the price hike. I'm by no means upset, just wanted to know why they didn't seem that popular in these headphone threads.

>what headphones should be added to this and at wha tiers?
kannons

>kannons
Remember to read reviews and research.

Well then forgive my hostility as it was directed at the other guy.

The reason why the DT 880s are sometimes left out is probably because they're overshadowed by the hd600, I don't personally own a pair but I've heard them be described as the "would be Kings of Mid Fi" on several occasions, and when something has a reputation as being the best, everything else can get unjustifiably overshadowed by it.

read the "Battle of the flagships" review on headphones, the DT 880s have a very respectable position and are amongst only 5 other headphones in achieving the highest possible score on value (A+). They are absolutely very good headphones, just overshadowed by such close and strong competition.

Not planning to wear them for long periods of time. Just a couple hours of commute and while working out

Was thinking about bose soundsport wireless/frees. Any other headphones worth checking out?

You can get HD6XX is $200, which is really close to the 880's price range. When you get to diminishing returns, it's subjective how much you'd pay to get that extra couple percent. I think paying $1000 to get something 25% better than a HD600 is worth it. Call me crazy, but I do value that 25% that much.

fuck, I thought the 1990s were supposed to be unbreakable

Attached: NTp9JDa.jpg (3096x4128, 916K)

no, it will be huge downgrade

all headphones are unbreakable if you are not a baboon on rampage everyday

oh fuck sorry, I haven't drank my onions for the day
sorry about the toxic masculinity, shlomo

90% of headphone reviews are wrong for modern use cases. it's not 80s anymore when you could listen only to music, hifi crowd living in the past.
nobody buying headphones for music anymore, like nobody buying monitors for only one use case like it used to be early LCD times.
in case of 600s they are brilliant for music, but they also have their downfalls for movies and games
it is really hard to find decent all rounder on the other hand it's easy to find all rounder monitor these days
all that ramble comes down to - audio is a retarded hobby, I wish I didn't get hd598 and stayed on 558s forever.

Attached: 1513874547648.png (420x407, 182K)

at least sound is fine?

>Dude I am not a clumsy fuck I am strong and I break things because I am so strong. And not because I sit on them or the get stuck and I force it lol I am just strong.

The updated HD 650's

> I wish I didn't get hd598 and stayed on 558s forever.

I thought the extra soundstage and clarity was worth it. What don't you like about the 598's?

this, but unironically

don't you want to upgrade idol trash "user"?

buy stax

Not really, the levels of happiness are quite high with HD600. Idol voices come out really well.
Eventually, as I'm curious about non-dynamic crap, and it's looking less and less likely I'll get a planar, as they suck at higher midrange and treble.

>as they suck at higher midrange and treble.
600s midrange is meh though, it simply forward not detailed

the updated hd 650's sound better than the HD 600's

you know that 600s also got updated same year?

they're still unbalanced trash.

hd600 this, hd650 that. Why such a hard on for vintage cans?

we can't afford anything better
i'm getting 1990 soon, will shill that when I get it

I really liked the SE215, since someone stole them from me I'm wondering if there's any other alternative I should take into consideration before buying them a second time.

I already own HD600 and m50s so I need a pair of iems.

>I already own HD600 and m50s so I need a pair of iems.
Why not get another pair of HD600?
There's never enough HD600!

My DT770 pros are starting to sound subtly different from how I remember them. I swear certain instruments in songs are less audible than they once were while others are fine. Is this possible or is it just me?

gay and fake

Stax.

this desu onions senpai

I wish she had a pair of feet down there.

most likely pads, get new ones and it will sound like it did

I didn't say how many pairs I own, I usually just strap one pair per ear.

that way I have 2 drivers per side, effectively doubling the resolution and soundstage of my trusty senns.

peasants wouldn't understand though, so when I get out in public i need a pair of regular iems.

Why not use a pair indoors, and another outdoors?
Plebs might research HD600 after they see you wear them. Gotta spread the word!

plebs will buy beats no matter what

>they see you wear them
No.

because i can't use opem cams at the library.

seriously tho except trolling and bs these treads are shit if you're looking for actual advice

Stax desu

Who's the other reviewer he's referring to?

But really, what the fuck's up with manufacturers releasing stuff with that kind of horrendous lag when changing tracks?

Also, any chances of hawaiibadboy being an autism?

This

This

all daps are that shitty, it's why you're better off using your phone and an external dac. you'll get better sound quality doing that too.

What are some

stax

quit spamming stax

If stax aren't headphones, then stop posting about them in headphones general and take them to earspeakers general. Thanks.

So are you buying stax next month?
