You don't know quality user.
Your inbred taste buds can't comprehend the rich flavours that this fan portrays in the form of build quality and performance.

Patrician fan

I'm interested in seeing proper testing of these fans later on.
For now my panaflos and it's daddy the san aces are stilll my favorites.
They are a bit thicc tho, I almost can't fit them in my water loop due to being 38mm.
These noctuas remind me of the gentle typhoons from scythe.

>no flying crab design
no want

>he says this while posting the worst Bond

Speaking of shit taste.

>give him the succ
what the fuck this gay ass wooden thing for lmao fucking wy i cant jsut paint it up with assatone nail polish?

>less than a penny to produce plastic design
>less than a quarter total cost of motor
>charges $20-$50 for product
man these profit margins would be amazing if it wasn't so scummy

you're also buying into an ecosystem with some of the best customer support possible. Also any fucking fan worth shit is more than 15 dollars, the margins are all hilariously large

they did send me an am4 kit nearly 10 years after i bought my thing, think that counts for something

>no flying crab design
What

Youre paying the rnd costs too, noctua are the best for a reason

found out the reason for their ridiculously overpriced products;
extra cost is for shillposters like you two.

how to detect which are from austria and which from china?

They say made in china on the pack. Do noctua even make any in austria anymore

The ones that will die, make loud noises and fuck you up in a few months are the chinese ones.
Other than that you're out of luck unless you go the safe route and buy good fans from good brands that sometimes don't sell their shit to consumers aka you will have to go to some specialized "niche" store like performance pcs or frozen cpu (those are the easy to get ones that you don't have to buy in bulk like doing business with supermicro, panasonic, sanyo denki or servo themselves)

seething

Just listen to tech jesus autistic explanation.

it's pretty silent, I hear it a bit when I max all cores
6 years warranty, so let's see how it goes

Customer support matters. Swiftech sent me an AM4 bracket free for my H240-X watercooling loop. It's the little things that keeps a customer coming back cause they know they will be taken care of. I keep going back to Mushkin for memory for the same reason, painless resolution.

i know Jow Forums has a hard on for noctua, but for my money cougar vortex is the best.

>Worst Bond
>Directed on 3 movies by Sam Mendes
>Probably best 007 movies ever
>Not Brosnan

I love their fans, but it's such a pity about the color scheme.

I run Noctua on my CPU and Cooler Master in my case. Don't @ me.

Why would a spinning piece of plastic need a customer support

In case it either ceases spinning, or ceases being made of plastic. Duh!

isn't that thing as loud as a plane though?

my thoughts exactly

>no new 140mm
dropped

will it whistle if it a metal bar, part of the front fan mount, crosses in from of it?
all my corsair fans whistle even with small obstruction by the tower's front fan mount and its attempt to support 14mm and 12mm fans.

yes lol, at my job ppl were requesting i remove them over noise

>buying expensive meme fans instead of a 4-pack of rosewill fans for $10

Stick my dick in it and walk 360° away

I bet you eat McDonalds every day

No I’m not american

why don't they just make fans out of fidget spinners

They're coming along with a lot of other sizes and updated coolers.

DAILY REMINDER THAT ALL 120MM FANS ARE SHIT

EVEN THE MOST EXPENSIVE ONE IS;
>HIGH PITCHED NOISE
>RETARDED TURBULENCE NOISE
>SMALL

EVEN THE CHEAPEST 140MM FANS ARE;
>QUIET
>NO ANNOYING SOUND NOISE
>BIG

Wow what a fucking bigot

>>Probably best 007 movies ever
So very, very wrong.
Also George Lazenby is worst bond.

Both Brosnan and Craig were fucked over by shit films, they were both pretty good as Bond though.

>quality
The fan just fucking died one month usage and i can't get a 1 to 1 replacement without going through one month of sending it back to manufacturer. I just popped the motherfucker blades out and give a drop of singer oil. Never again noctua. 5 years warranty ain't worth that effort.

>overpriced gentle typhoon

Why would you buy this?

Attached: 71QufQQ9cCL._SL1500_.jpg (1489x1500, 233K)

>gentle typhoon
Where could you still buy this?

Bought pic related recently after looking up every air cooler ever, the mounting system is top tier. I already had a nf-12 fan as an out take and instantly loved the thing because the tone of noise it produces is soothing, I hardly hear them though,

Would it be a mistake if I got them now as instake fans?

I sure am glad I spent fifty bucks on two floating bearing fans the reduce my Temps from 45 to 42 degrees.

My nigga. I got the same one. I dislike paying the noctua premium for their coolers but goddamn if that mounting system isn't a breeze compared to a lot of other brands. I'll probably get another one of them when I eventually upgrade.

I only have maglev fans in my case you plebian

That's good to hear, user :)

Yeah man, love it, weary of getting a big massive dual heat sink because cleaning it would be a major hassle.
When you think about it, it isn't that much more than alternatives, ok the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is half the price but that mounting looks tricky af.
I bought all new parts and was using an arctic 90mm heatsink for over a year so it was about time I invested in something beefier. That arctic cooler/fan was fucken ace truth be told for what it cost and the size of the fan.

Those are the VARDAR fans by EK Waterblocks.

sunon maglev bearings > ripoff maglev and fluid

*exceeds your specs*
desu though BeQuiet has come a long way and there's almost no reason to buy Noctua fans when you can get a cheaper, better coloured and better sounding fan.

Same with their coolers. Dunno why you'd pay $15 (aud) more for a D15 when you can get a Dark Rock Pro 3

sounds like it's more than a year away

ALSEYE says their fans use the flying crab design

no they're not

for mounting kits 5+ years down the line

Where are they even cheaper? seems like most places they are within a dollar of each other.

is this a good case fan? there's a shop near my place that still sells this and i want to use it as an intake fan

What do you mean? Does Noctua send you a new mounting kit on request? Though I haven't felt the need to upgrade from my 4770K from 2013.

29 aud vs 35 aud for 140mm

nothing personnel kiddo

>AUD
I am sorry for you user.

Thanks. We really only have a handful of suppliers too. I mean, we do have more competition now but a 1080Ti has just gone back to it's April 2017 price of $1230 aud

>fan company with actual sceintific developements
wtf i love noctua now

They do. They ask you to show a receipt of the new motherboard you purchased and to show ID and they just send you a mounting kit at no extra cost.

this

Hey that's actually pretty great customer service

>amerimutts are surprised when a company does what they should be doing in providing for a customer

This color scheme is great to go with an 70's electric appliance theme, like some sort of modified vacuum cleaner.

Australian here. I've never heard of them advertising that service to customers.

But yeah, average American's don't seem to promote or understand consumer rights, never have.

Because America has fully given up its ass like a prison wife to corporate control. Consumer protection only matters if it killed you or not.

Craig is fantastic
I actually liked brosnan too though

Spectre and Skyfall are masterpieces come on
Casino royale and quantum of solace are meh

What is the thinnest radiator and a fan I can get for an intel cpu?

And even then, they have more money and better lawyers to save face and fuck up anyone that tries to sue for them.

Why are ppl bullying the new Noc-cock fan?.

Static pressure comparison? Most people just compare airflow and think more is better.

not noctua 120mm fans

2.16 for BeQuiet 140mm 1600rpm
2.08 for Noctua 140mm 1500rpm

I don't hate on Noctua, they're the leaders in fan tech, or the people that use them, but now that BeQuiet has caught up and basically matched them, I'd choose BeQuiet over them for fan colour and price.

Yeah but the whole point of these new designs is that they've got better static pressure and the 140mm you're comparing against is an old design.

I'm comparing what is available now. I'll grant you that the Silent Wings 3 series are somewhat recent, but Noctua hasn't released anything except the Redux series for a while. Which their own reps say perform about 5 degrees worse, but are cheaper and gray.

I know Noctua are working on things and are about to release a new and improved 120mm version but it's not released yet, and the 140 is not near completion.

Just saying that the Noctua one is better at equivalent rpms and this whole thread is about the new ones anyway.

I don't know about the new one because it hasn't been tested yet, but the new 120mm spins at 1850rpm, so it's louder and has only 1.53 for static pressure.
I've no doubt the 140mm will be great when it releases, but for now, SW3 has the current 140 beat.

Wait my bad, just realized I had the stats of the x15mm Noctua 120, gonna check now if there are stats yet for the new AF120x25

Looking now I can see there are specs for the new 120. Spins at 2000rpm, 22db and 2.34mmH0 static pressure, and 102m3h for airflow

Looks pretty amazing spec wise. Will be keen to see their 140 in the future. I don't really use 120's.

Considering that the silent wings are at a higher RPM that accounts for most if not all of the static pressure difference.

Also at that point what the noise normalized performance of the fans? Based on the spec sheets the noctua has a noise level of 24,6 dB(A), and Silent Wings 3 have a noise level of 28.1 dB(A). So technically the noctuas have a better static pressure to fan noise ratio at maximum fan speed.

Spectre is shit

apparently theyre not even that much better than previous ones..

Not sure, but if we bring down the SW3 speed to match NF-A12 then the static pressure is pretty much the same.

I'm just making the point that now we finally have a competitor to Noctua that delivers the same or near exact specs across multiple categories. It's great that now we can buy Noctua performance for a little cheaper and in black, but I will point out that the new Noctua series are about to push ahead again.

I replaced my Nf12 for them. They ran only slightly cooler, but they have a much quieter and smoother sound profile(when they even turn up fast enough to hear them)

no, whisper quiet on a PWM connection. are you guys running your fans at max or something?

Static pressure actually can drop pretty fast depending on fan speed, again looking at noctua's numbers at 2000 RPM they have 2.34 mm H2O, and at 1700 they have 1.65 mm H2O, so the ratio with just lowering 300 rpm drops from 1.17E-2 for 2000 RPM to 0.97E-3, that's a huge decrease in static pressure/RPM with just 300 rpm less.

Granted the designs are not 100% the same, so it's not necessarily a 1:1, but it's likely similar losses.
