What is Jow Forumsternet? mesh.gentoo.today/wiki/Purpose Jow Forumsternet would be our own decentralized p2p network running on our own infrastructure, totally disconnected from the clearnet. It will be a combination of DIY meshnets on a city wide basis, and a platform for interconnecting these city wide meshnets over p2p openvpn bridges and high powered wireless dishes for City to City relays. The Inter-Meshnet part of the project will allow any existing DIY meshnets to join our network by adding a bridge node or a city to city relay. The short term goal is to have a few anons set up their own local meshnet and link them together using the bridges as a proof of concept. Tomesh uses cjdns running on top of 802.11s. I wouldn't recommend either. Finding hardware that supports 802.11s is a pain. Last I checked, cjdns had routing issues, and the plan to solve them was to centralize routing decisions.

How about masquerade-style anonymity? We use ancryption and blockchain to keep users anonymous data-wise but each user and their packets has a unique signature (kind of like a trip-code) that keeps them accountable for fucked up shit.
Also fuck the gov, mesh-net will run by its own laws, if the majority of node-hosts decide they don't want pizza then they can just block packets with that signature, and if they decide they want barnyard porn they can whitelist whatever they want. In essence every individual decides for themselves what they do/don't want going through their nodes while all users remain anonymous at the same time.
The signature of course, will not include any info like where its form or stuff like that, but merely act as a specific mark that it belongs to anonymous user #3342 or something like that.
