dumb ass, this isnt new
Get a vpn for downloading your dolphin porn

Your ISP forwards copyright infingment letters. They dont monitor torrents.

>implying ISPs haven't been doing this all along
you put too much trust in ISPs OP, get a VPN or use someone else's wifi

If you don't care much about who sees your data as long as it isn't your ISP. VPNhub has been alright.

welcome to ten years ago. get a seedbox.

Antipiracy groups or the companies themselves seed torrents, and then log all IPS, and contact the service provider and which in turn contacts you. If ISP monitored my traffic it would see all my non SSL seedbox downloads which obviously are pirated shit when having a name like "The.Expanse.S01.E04.720p.web.dl.x264.mkv". ISP doesn't care, they just legally have to notify you if they get notified. It's to cover their ass.

why the fuck would you do that though, I thought every provider did SFTP nowadays

Because sometimes I don't use sftp, I move it to pub website you get with it. (Public_html folder, they allow you to host shit, setup MySQL databases, ssh access and can install stuff besides your torrent clients l) it's (Username.seedbox.ext/file.mkv) to stream via VLC or download on a friend's or family members computer. The site has SSL for everything else but the subdomain they give isn't. Your web ui for rutorrent, deluge, or whatever you want is on a different domain with SSL, sftp and ssh are secure, and obviously my isp can't see that.

Apply the 'it wasn't me' defense.

IP owners monitor torrents
they said complaints to ISPs and ISPs sent you emails
ISPs, or at least comcast couldn't care less about piracy, they just send you emails to sa they did and hope you back off(but don't mind if you don't)

S o y redditor detected

I never used Reddit in my life. Scify channel puts out good stuff, like blood drive. Reddit basedboys watch shit like big bang theory.

I don't have a password on my wireless for this very reason. "Sorry officer, some crook must have done a drive-by piracy." (Am I responsible for securing my network?)

seedbox.
not my fault you live in a commie country.
