the equivalent to "/dev/sda" on linux is "\\.\PhysicalDrive0" on windows
mountpoints on linux are any arbitrary folder

also, i considered adding 'as mountpoints' in the first comment, but i figured it would be redundant, since you can only 'cd' to a mountpoint
