In my opinion, the main benefits of using PTs boil down to the following: Availability and security. Becoming elitist is only natural to weed out the weak and to allow only the interested or contributors to join. This for example is also why I'm neither on PTP or on GGn– I'm not interested in pirating that content for personal reasons, so why should I collect memberships of these trackers like a game? It'd just be a waste of time and nerves for everyone involved.
