Why has Intel always sucked at dedicated GPUs?
Would a modern attempt still suck? Intel HD isn't as shit as it used to be and it's a fuckload better than GMA was.

gimme mutt milkies
Because they keep trying to force-feed people their GPUs with those integrated GPUs. So they probably devote nothing to dGPUs. Also, pic has 9/10 tits, but a 5/10 face.
They've never actually released dedicated GPUs afaik. They did hire raja koduri from AMD recently, though, so we will probably see an attempt in the next few years.
Intel have never made a dedicated GPU
What the fuck are you talking about

not them, but they are right.
Intel never made anything close to a dGPU.
Even larrabee, which was larped as a dgpu, it had x86 cores inside, like xeon phi
most possibly had some kind of OS running inside, like xeon phy
it was never released,
we never heard of its 3D rendering capabilities
we never heard about its support on D3D or openGL or any other API,
only slides exist which claim that this was supposed to be a dedicated CPU.
On top of that, larrabee was mostly ALUs, supporting SIMDs and competed from day one in number crunching with amd and novidia gpus.
According to your logic, novidia never presented a fake fermi card. A non-working dummy prototype with in shiny packaging counts as a real product.
