Mmm, sorry user, i tried to search the program you are talking about in my repos, but i couldnt find it. I'm not sure if that very piece of software exists or if you are talking about some kind of proprietary software. In that case, i will see myself forced to report you to the freesoftware authorities so you will have to pay windows licenses for the rest of your life.
very bad

FOG
Can capture and deploy Linux, Windows and MaxOS images.

Uhm.... Drawpile?

Everyone knows about that.

Ardour if you're a musician in need of a good DAW for your recording projects.

DXVK

ZIM or CherryTree for your personal Wiki.

Personally I use ZIM, with plugins it's all I need and much more.

virt-managers
I bet you filthy casuals run shit on Virtualbox

>tech furry that draws hardcore pornography. :3
Why not mypaint?

DXVK isn't linux software, it compiles into a windows dll which is run under wine like any other windows program
it theoretically should work on windows, too (though there'd be little purpose for it, since if you have a gpu with vulkan support, it should also support d3d11 anyway)

cdemu doesn't get mentioned enough imo
people who ask about mounting iso's generally just get "mount -oloop ...", but that only works for some purposes, cdemu actually emulates an optical drive, and supports many non-raw formats like nrg/mds/daa/ccd/etc

also gnu parallel, i see people do things like transcode music or crop pictures using a serial 'for' command, when they could get way more performance with the simple use of parallel

Ed. it is the standard editor but has fallen out of popularity thanks to vi, vim, nano, and emacs

Sorry friend I tried to install Windows 7 but it got stuck so I download VirtualBox and it just worked

calf plugins

Actually, I use GIMP, because 2.10 is a good version of GIMP.

>Raster editor for drawing
Well, at least it has mypaint brushes now.

The l85 is an incredibly appropriate gun to represent linux.

How about
QGIS
QtMapShack
LazPaint
The dark mod
DoomRL
Hedgewars

AY_Emulator. Not loonix exclusive but still really good

Send some pls

QDirStat

Good looking stuff.
Is there anything CherryTree does better than ZIM or is ZIM the way to go?

Does it work for installing and running games in WINE?

I feel like I'm gonna get banned for this, since the mods are probably asleep... If I knew how to use GPG, I'd probably just tell you to send me a message of some contact info encrypted with my public key. But, alas, I'm off to bed.

>no good themes
dropped

looks like you kids are too young to remember the hot shit e17 was 15 years ago

in lam but i didnt think here

Personally I don't understand why people say CherryTree is better than ZIM.

ZIM with plugins is goat, gnuplot, native latex support, version control. etc.

That's literally its only problem

Dont know if people know about that, but dspdfviewer.
I always had problems with latex beamer presentations because my laptop and the beamer had different aspect ratios, so i couldnt mirror my screen. With dspdfviewer you can have your presentation on your laptop and on the screen at the same time, doesnt matter what resolutions they have.

I should have never said that. e17 is great but the lack of good themes is what holds it back for me. the best theme available is the default theme

never see create-ap mentioned but it's a wonderful tool

I could not care less what OS other people are using. I'm not the one going into threads unrelated to me just to talk down and feign superiority though. If anyone is projecting insecurity, it would be you.

yes, things like securom work with it, if you have good cd dumps/"mini" images

-- basically, you can use it with wine for the same reasons you'd use 'daemon tools' in windows
multi-mode cd games with cd audio tracks, various bad-sector based copy protection schemes, etc

Are those based on Dethklok?
