Yay my bbt ratios actually increased a bit. Gove it probably a month of continuous seeding and ill be at 0.5
Jonathan Ward
What size drive should i upgrade to? I currently have a 3tb ironwolf thats getting close to full so im thinking maybe upgrading to a 8tb ironwolf, or perhaps even the 12tb. If i went the 8tb id probs go for a raid setup for in case one fails
Christian Ross
Raid is not a backup.
Jose Parker
Its a decent solution, or maybe i should just set the drive up to copy new stuff when its written to the main drive and then power down the second drive when its not writing nee content.
Asher Roberts
My seedbox provider configured my rutorrent interface without SSL and basic authentication (instead of digest), which as I understand it means it doesn't encrypt my login password. Trying to change the config files to digest authentication just breaks the functionality somehow. Is there a way so I can still securely login to my seedbox in a public network?
Nicholas Watson
Not a solution at all, just a preventative measure. RAID5 (lets you have one drive fail with no data loss) and offsite backups (ideally 2 in separate locations) is a solution.
Nathan Morris
/ptg/ storytime. This happened some weeks ago.
>participating in a very active forum thread on a major tracker >see somebody just post a weird question not very related to the topic >answer it for him and tell him this isn't the place for that kind of discussion and he should make another thread >replies to me mad af and says that I'm not a mod and that I can't tell him what to do and calls me a faggot and that I better not reply to him again and he will keep posting in that thread. >staresindisbelief.png >decide to just press the report button for shits and giggles since he's such a sperg >some days pass >he PMs me out of nowhere, telling me that he got banned from the forum and a warning on his account and he knows that I reported him because it was right after he replied to me. He says he's gonna dox me because he googled my username and he got some hits and that I'm gonna pay. >staresindisbeliefagain.odf >I just press the report button again on this sperg and chuckle to myself. >I get a PM a few hours later from staff saying not to worry about this guy's threats and that he's been banned.
Based. You need a nightly backup job running to another disk instead of RAID. If Winblows usw Robocopy, if Linsux use Rsync. There's GUIs for both.
Austin Myers
YEAH BUT WHAT IF SOMEONE DESTROYS YOUR OFFSITE "BACKUPS"? WHAT THEN?
Nicholas Richardson
Weep, drink, fap, spend buffer like a demon
Jaxon Perez

> Industry standard is to have multiple backups, multiple locations just for that event.
Elijah Nguyen
BIB being hard is a shit meme. There are always 5-10 autosnatchers on retail ebooks under 50mb and at least one on retail ebooks of any size. abooks aren't autosnatched, but you'll get some manual snatches if you think about which genres are going to to appeal to private tracker users. BIB is only hard if you are totally brainless.
Christian Carter
WHAT IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY DO A SIMULTANEOUS PURGE ON EVERY SERVICE? CHECKMATE BACKUPISTS.
Adam Rodriguez
Are there any trackers you consider hard, user?
Christopher Harris
I come to your house and purge all the data that constitutes an all caps posting faggot like yourself. starting with your porn, then onto your min, body and soul itself
Jayden Harris
I sent my backup into space using a strong radio signal. If my files be fine for billions of years. When I need them I just have to travel faster than the speed of light and receive them again.
Owen Flores
This is what I learned last night while not getting laid... rtorrent woops Qbits ass in RAM usage on Debian.
www.your-pen.is/when-you-see-me.php Seriously though, none of the main trackers. Pedro's, maybe, but I let that shit expire through inactivity a long time ago. Second/third-rate trackers are the hardest because nobody ever snatches. Cabal and associated are all easy.
Luke Rodriguez
how many torrents in that qbit instance?
Daniel Lopez
Both had about 800 torrents running. To be fair though, Qbit has a well-documented memory leak on Debian systems, no way it should be that high l, IMO.
Hunter Edwards
>I get a PM a few hours later from staff saying not to worry about this guy's threats Why would they do this?
Luis Harris
ahh okay - i was shocked at that usage. i'm at 1700 and not even 200MB RAM usage on wincuck10
Grayson Rivera
clearly sent the cabal hit team after them
Adrian Cooper
If RAID doesn't protect against user error, why doesn't the same argument work against backups? Those can be user errored to oblivion too. >no they can't unless you're a complete retard Well in that case we can apply the same argument to RAID too.
Barely been in these threads shitposting lately. Burned through so many RED freeleech tokens and got multiple sim cards blocked from downloading all these 24 bit FLACs. Not complaining, the music is fucking fantastic. Totally worth dealing with 3rd world internet problems.
Carson Lopez
I set a 3gb disk cache, and qbittorrent uses ~500mb when idling with 13000 torrents.
Thomas Sullivan
I don't even know what you guys are talking about, utorrent just works. Stop using garbage clients newfags.
Oliver Powell
>using malware
Ryder Harris
because staff is nice and doesn't want people being threatened on their tracker.
Kevin Hughes
>t. staff
Chase Wood
If I was going to dox someone from a tracker I wouldn't talk about it on that tracker. I wouldn't even give any hints. I'd just post it here.
Dominic Rodriguez
doxxing is not allowed here sir, please desist
Jose Phillips
It might not be allowed here but if I post a link to the dox...
Christopher Perry
he wasn't very smart, but neither are you since doxing is also against Jow Forums rules.
Jacob Ortiz
See It's like you're new here or something. If you link to a pastebin nothing happens. Just like if you go on /t/ you can't upload the latest albums but if you post mega links on /mu/ nothing happens to you.
if you think the jannies haven't figured out those workarounds yet, you are the newfag.
Nolan Evans
Last time when I posted passkeys here they got deleted, but when I put them on pastebin nothing happened. The hot pockets squad is never consistent though and they'll just interpret the rules however they feel like. You'll probably get away with that shit as long as you don't spam it and don't try to do some gamergate style attention seeking. It isn't like the days of WT Snacks where you can catch a random ban for nothing though. If you've ever read the leaks you'll know they are pussified compared to the old days and want to err on the side of caution no matter how much of an asshole the user is being.
Levi Ramirez
>5-10 autosnatch Look at the torrentpage right now and the maximum you can find is 4. But I am sure these are not autosnatches. Since all the others got 1 or 2.
David Flores
What's the URL then? Are our old accounts working again?
Xavier Sanders
> But I am sure these are not autosnatches. faggot
What are your top 5 dnb producers? Favorite label?
Levi Ramirez
Chase and status Dedmau5 Skrillex Pendulum Kanji kinetic
Hospital records
Christopher Kelly
lol I hope you're trolling
Jayden Carter
that's none of your business. BACK THE FUCK OFF
Justin Martinez
Is that bad? The recruiter seemed okay with it, enough to let me in.
Adam Cooper
I use 2.2.1 and set it to use 2gb of RAM. What do you not have memory like that?
Also what is up with PTP? I can't get past login page. Nbd cause of HDB but I forgot the name of a series I only bookedmarked on PTP
John Martinez
spotted the pleb
Thomas Myers
When given the option between CD and WEB release which should I go for?
Nathaniel Nguyen
Tape
Henry White
The one with more snatches. Always get mp3 320
Landon Roberts
It's about as mainstream as you can get. Chase and Status + Pendulum made a few good tunes more than 10 years ago but since then not so much... Deadmau5 lol he's even disliked by the same mainstream meme EDM fans that made him popular in the first place now. Skrillex is pretty embarrassing, but I'm not gonna lie he makes alright tunes with Justin Bieber. No idea who Kanji Kinetic is. Hospital hasn't been good in more than a decade either, some gems in their catalog though.
Jose Reed
Depends on the release, what if the web rip is a lossy master and the CD isn't?
Jace Rogers
the one with less seeds because then you make more BP
Asher Wilson
If it's older music check the comments and see if anyone has recommended a specific CD. Usually the older the CD the better. Earlier releases weren't as plagued by loudness war crap and are less likely to be mastered horribly. WEB will be the latest remastered version in most cases. New music it really doesn't matter, but check the comments still. There are some cases like Drake's album Views where the WEB version is longer than what would fit on a CD so they edit it a bit.

Quickest path from AnimeTorrents to HDB?
Carter Moore
AT > GT > HDB
James Taylor
nice b8 m8
Zachary Flores
The old backdoor
William Rogers
gaytorrents.ru -> PU-> HDB, is the backdoor
Jordan Jenkins
I forgot to mention. Another smart thing to do for older music is to google album artist/name steve hoffman on google. The Steve Hoffman forums are a great place to look for info on which releases sound the best and which are total shit. It's especially helpful when you're looking at some album that has 10 different versions and you have no fucking clue which to pick. Most of those guys aren't pirating though so you're limited to their opinions about the versions they actually own. They haven't steered me wrong yet though.
Camden Ward
Best answer. Thanks.
James Harris
What do you think GT in is?
Asher Howard
let's get fappin bois
Ryder Wood
I found ranking up on gaytorrents the hardest thing to do as a lifelong homophobe. Totally worth it now I have HDB, but boy, did it make me feel dirty.
Isaac White
No one said you ever had to enjoy the content...

tfw amazon not letting me return ebooks anymore without calling them first. RIP the BiB dream
