are you uwxbill or that similar guy?

hey louis

t. Louis Rossmann

How tall are you?

Fuck off Louis

Get out, Rossman

Attached: 1834982355789347823.jpg (223x226, 8K)

What brand condoms do you use? Or do you go in raw?

What's your opinion on modern apple design - the removal of upgrades and ports, extremely thin and light build, and form over function?

Attached: macbookpro-2017-15-touchbar.jpg (2800x2100, 914K)

can you tell me what's wrog with my mac pro

Op, not Rossman lmao. Names Jonah.

Gf has implant so raw. But when I use condoms I use trojans

I'm 5'11" so like average height.

>mac
Found your problem.

Lol no kidding

Oh hi Loui- wait, that's not his office.

>I'm 5'11"
So you're not Rossman

Lmao rossmans office is a fucking rats nest. I try to keep organized

Oh boy.

1. What's your average customer? Compared to the set of macfags, is the subset that breaks shit and comes to you characteristically different?

2. What is your most bizarre experience with a customer?

3. How many Darwin Awards have you seen in your line of work?

Attached: flat,800x800,075,f.jpg (250x248, 14K)

How do you feel that is going to put you out of a job since they can't be repaired?

1.) Average customer is College kids. Our store is pretty clpse to campus so most of our stuff comes from students and their "I.T. Department"

2.) The most bizarre experience was when a woman came in frantically talking about her macbook being bugged by her husband. When I opened it up she was right, it has an audio recording device where the dvd drive went. I pulled it and we turned it in to the authorities.

3.) Well I'm in south carolina so pretty much every customer over 30.

I hate the lack of upgrades for sure. But the design is really nice. I love the dark brushed metal look and I think the butterfly keyboards are okay at best.

I very strongly disagree with their business model, but they make pretty devices.

The ports are definitely annoying, it would have made more sense to include usb type b and c.

Don't get me started on my hatred of dongles.

>those 30 year old boomers that still go to college with their macbooks

how much gay porn have you seen now?

Do you ever snoop on people's data?
Any nudes?

Youd be surprised

Not too much porn. Some people leave their nides open when they get their phone repaired though.

I only look if they leave it open, but I've seen some shit. Seen a lot of nudes for sure. Especially when helping with icloud stuff.

Wait, so they asked you to help while still having nudes just opened for you to see?

Were the nudes of good quality? Have you ever saved any?

HEY LOUIS SAY MY NAME IN YOUR STREAM PLEASE

Do you only repair macs, or do you also repair other types of computers?
What's the worst malfunction you've ever had to repair?
How stupid are your clients on average? (Please provide examples of their stupidity).
Besides the case of the audio recording device in the DVD drive, did you find any illegal stuff on the mac you're fixing

Attached: 1528823311660.jpg (720x752, 53K)

only repair macs. the worst thing ive fixed was someone said there was piss? inside the mac. they claimed it was cat piss but there was A LOT of piss! nothing illegal really, i did find a finger box inside of the whole thing one time though

Well mainly for screen replacements and battery stuff. Guess they just didnt think to close the photo app. Ive seen some 10/10 qt nudes. Don't save them. Don't feel like losing my job over a wank.

I fix anything. But my store is mainly mac oriented. The worst malfunction was a liquid damage repair. Had to replace every major component and do board repair. Not a fun day for that customer.

Heres a great example from literally 5 minutes ago. Weve had this guy come in to sell us stuff for the past week. Every day he comes in here on his longboard. This guy stinks. I mean reeks. I have to really try not to gag when he comes in. So he comes in today and says "I got this 6 I wanna sell, its brand new out the box."
I take one fucking look at it and its COVERED in dents, the home button is a different color, and its icloud locked. The dude argues with me for 15 minutes until I kicked him out.

Not Louis, but I stream on occasion @Girth_Cert on twitch

Lmfao that's disgusting. Ive had a few that were roach infested

>I fix anything. But my store is mainly mac oriented. The worst malfunction was a liquid damage repair. Had to replace every major component and do board repair.

How did you know which ones needed replacement? Where did you get them (the replacements)?

Got any wins ? You know pics etc.

We put the components in a test bed, (basically a good unit), and make sure they work.

We buy parts from beetstech, ifixit, and eBay. Most of the time we just have the parts from part only units.

>i fixed computers like it's the mid/late 90's
How much government assistance are you on?

>being a literal tech repair grunt
>calling people idiots

>We put the components in a test bed, (basically a good unit), and make sure they work.
Fuck me, in what possible reality was that worth it for the customer?

Attached: 1287893928523.jpg (1400x739, 109K)

>for idiots
you can omit that.

>the worst thing ive fixed was someone said there was piss? inside the mac. they claimed it was cat piss but there was A LOT of piss!
>Weve had this guy come in to sell us stuff for the past week. Every day he comes in here on his longboard. This guy stinks. I mean reeks. I have to really try not to gag when he comes in
>Ive had a few that were roach infested
I feel ashamed to be a macbook user.

Came here to post this.

>t. mactoddler

Well we don't charge them to test the conponents. Thats just basic diagnostic work. Its worth it so that they know how much money they'll have to sink into it to get it working again.

I make 15/hr so I'm living quite comfortably for a 20 something

Lol ok. I'm doing what I love and making a loving doing it. What are you doing?

>What are you doing?
Software dev. Doing what I love in an excessively comfy environment and making a living doing it :)

Thats actually pretty cool. The software stuff was always a bit over my head. Sorry I got snappy.

Homuch are you making? Are you your own boss?Do you do hardware repair too?

ACMT here, do you and the people you work with have to get Apple certifications or just if you know how to fix stuff in general you can do it

Removing this thread for spam.

Feel free to talk to Hiro if you have any comment.

Apple certification is a joke lol. We certify through ifixit but mainly for customer peace of mind.

15/hr. No not my own boss, but I am lead technician so I have some people under me. We do board repair as well, yes. I am mainly hardware.

Aight. Not promoting anything tho. Just having a bit of fun on a slow day.
Maybe if you used those eyes every now and again you would have seen that.

Sorry I called you a tech grunt, big guy.

$15 an hour is pretty terrible considering each ticket should be $200.

Apple certifications aren’t a joke if you want to repair devices under warranty for free for the customer... but I digress, I’ll take it as a no. iFixit guides can get you through anything if you have a base line skill as a repair technician

I just disagree with how certified shops operate.
Not ifixit guides, we do their certification. I also have an asociate's degree in electronics engineering, so that helps.

It's alright :)

We have 5 technicians so devided between us it's decent. I'm also up for a raise after this quarter is over.

Yea I’ve worked at a few AASP’s and I get what you’re saying. Apple stores are pretty good about it since they have all the money to throw around, but if you’re not covered you’re gonna get gouged on prices. Is this something you want to do for a long time or do you have plans for a different career path?

What laptop/computer do you use?

How much CP did you see on the computers the idiots bring in?
Was it any good?

Attached: 1500232794983.gif (220x190, 1.66M)

Don't have a use for a laptop, but my desktop is a pc I built in my teens. Been adding parts to it for years.

I love fixing stuff, always have. Its a good career but I would love to make music. That's the dream anyway. So if I do this forever, I better be the best at it and I better make decent money.

Never any CP, fortunately. But we have policies in place for such an event.

Lmao
