Leave Java, JavaScript and Python out of this question
Which of the two is better as a introductory language to get their feet wet? For someone that does not know programming language/languages whatsoever
Give it to me straight Jow Forums
Leave Java, JavaScript and Python out of this question
C/C++
Why on earth would you start with either as an intro language?
They're both really, really bad for new users.
Scratch
Well, Go but I don't know why you'd start with either of those as introductory languages
Of those two, Go. I don't get why anyone would torture themselves with Rust. For all it's features, safety and innovations, Rust syntax works against the programmer, not with it.
But like says. There's better intro languages. Java, C/C++ and python.
I agree with , you should start with C divided by C++
Probably just kill yourself.
Java
Why do you want to use either of these shitlangs?
Go. I wouldn't learn it as a first language, but Go.
Go would be really bad for newbies. I Haven't used Rust yet.
Go is exactly simple enough to be good for newbies
Those are both shit languages for a beginner.
I supposed if it MUST be between R and Go, it depends if you're a Linux sys admin, and already write lots of Python / Bash / Perl and want to do concurrency more easily.
If you want to do data science, and are wanting to do stuff you can't do with SQL ... then R.
Both shit languages for a beginner.
C/C++ if you can't stand one of the three you named for some reason.
the r is for rust u nincompoop
I learned c++ as my first it's good for game development and that's the reason I started programming and it really depends on what you want to do with it so just learn a language that fits you
Go for anything web or network related
rust for any systems things
(for learning sake, it'll be much easier that way)
go if I needed to choose, but you should not start with any of those two, specially if you need to post this kind of dumb shit here
go if you're starting from nothing, if you've used a gc language before then rust
No one will remember what either of those languages were like 2 years from now.
This.
go is alright
