How to retrieve data from an android encrypted sd card ?

Ok guys, the tl;dr is in the title.
The tablet is a Lenovo TB-804X running android 7.1.

To add a little bit of background:
When I turned on the tablet this morning it refused my password and, after a second failed attempt, left me only the option to factory reset it.

I didn't think much of it as it's a new tablet with not much data on it, so I reset it.
But I'd forgotten the SD card full of stuff I transferred from my previous tablet that I don't want to lose.

The card is encrypted to be readable only by the tablet as an internal memory, so I can't open it with a computer (tried windows and parted magic), and the freshly reset tablet says it can't read it either.

So I have 2 questions for you fellow anons :
1. If I re-encrypt the tablet with the same password as before, will it the be able to read the SD card ?

2. If not, is there another way to retrieve that data since I have the password ?

Yes, I know how to Google and I know how to post in specialized forums, I also know that anons here reply faster and with more insight (as long as they don't tell me to cover it with butter and microwave it for 15 minutes to unlock the ancient powers of Grayskull).

Poor person whom you stole it from has their data safe. It's good.

Just give it back Jamal.

Not stolen.

Just give it back

Not possible to recover the data

Return it from whence it came, ye knave of dusky complexion.

samefag.

Can you elaborate ? what's the main obstacle ?

Apart from ethics? The owner encrypted it.

The owner being me and me having the password, what is the main technical obstacle, mr samefag ?

Fucking redditors.

The encryption is not very secure if it can be cracked using that program you linked to.

That means you cannot rely on Android crypto for anything.
