fine. specially if you use wasapi or not windows
on latest win10 build it got slight popping issue for me at 32bit/44khz in chrome with youtube, weirdly games worked fine
24/48Khz seems to be ideal setting on mine
it powers my 600s at about 10-11o'clock on a knob high gain, bass and higher mids on 600 start to sound cleaner after a weaker amp
those damn strings start to sound real, it's like you got your ear near them to hear every post pluck distortion
you can also hardware EQ it for warmer sound with internal switches
funny thing, mine came with two packets of switches and two replacement LEDs

one more thing, gain switch changes sound very slightly for hd600s on low/high gain loudness aside, it takes a while to notice so play with it

when I got 600s I despised them, they felt barely better than 598
two years later I can't listen to 598s they are too muddy
NFB11 has instant "woah, this is better" effect I didn't expect. All I wanted was a bit more power in a combo, turned out better than expected.

I want a basic headphones to watch movies, tv series and stuff like that. I want them to be over-ear, from a well known brand and with cable. This is the best I have seen until now. Opinions on it? Any other recommendation? It should be under 40$.

Things I don't like about this Sony cheap headphones:

- They don't have even volume control.
- The thin plastic in the ear zone. I have an old ones and that thin plastic is all broken. The one in here is made of a better plastic.

Anyone else waiting for their crack, turns out the sale bogged them down hard. Mine is scheduled for about the 28th so expect similar for yours.

I would argue that Head-fi in 2018 is better than SBAF. Individual threads like the electrostatic general thread are helpful and informative and let's not forget that it has a nice used gear section.
