How can one company mess up a headphone so badly.

I can always return it if it sucks, no biggie. I owned the Magni/Modi a few years back, it was solid but I wanted to save a $100.

Post all the fr graphs you want, they are very v-shaped headphones everyone knows this. They are by far the most fun set of headphones I own. In my opinion they are the kings of any electronic music. They are not perfect for all kinds of music. If you want to listen to some airy gay harp shit or something these are not good headphones. These are the best cans I have heard for any kind of "fun" music. These make it fun to listen to music and just enjoy the music itself instead of focusing on the gear.

Sounded better than my onboard audio, good enough to me.

why would i buy stax, miss me with that faggot shit

because any amp is better than your motherboard. the dac portion did nothing and unless you have a motherboard from before 2004 actually made your sound quality worse and lowered resolution. for the same price you could have gotten a good amp and had twice the audio quality. but you can waste your money however you want, ultimately it doesn't matter to me.

Like I said, if I don't like it I can always return it. Whatever. They have a 15 day return policy.

yea, professional audio equipment like that is overkill for basically anybody

1.5W isn't overkill, it's limp dick.

hows focal clear?

what do you mean

>costs $1000
>less power than amps a quarter of the price

what amp are you talking about

adi2

Anything as comfy as the bose quiet comfort 25's? I hear their sound quality isn't as good bit i love how comfortable the headphones are, how light they are on your head to name a big one, price range is 150$ (i like ebay so that's an option)

thats a da/ad converter not an amp

ok, are you talking about their dac/preamp? it still seems like overkill to me, no home user is going to make use of professional audio gear enough to be worth it

I'm just trying to bait a very angry user who doesn't know how volume works.

1.5 watts is garbage, barely enough for earpods

This EQ seems like an improvement on the sound signature, I recommend giving it a try if you have an HD650 or HD6XX

New to this but I need a DAC that had Coax/SPDIF in and has output for speakers and headphones. The Sabaj D2 looked like what I wanted but I need something that can switch audio outputs so when I'm using headphones the speakers will turn off vice versa.

with high end stuff it's two types of graphs for some reason
it's either 8k drop or 8k peak, I think measurement doesn't reflect them correctly

do mp3 files get quieter over time?
i have an album that ive had on my computer for years and it's really quiet. I don't know if it was always like this quiet in the past

>that had Coax/SPDIF
you will hear any phone activity in your house.
use optical if you have to.

Your hearing got worse.

the hd 6xx are finally out, but Im still wondering if I should save up for stax? Should i just go with 6xx's?

well shit, the delivery date is in september..

that disappointed me so much, holy shit. fuck it, i think im just gonna buy some stacks right now. Im looking on their website and it shows the l300 and the l300 limited, the limited is just some collectors item or something?

it's an L700 with L500 pads and L300 headband

oh well shit...

thing is i have a brother who's willing to split the headphone price in 2, is it worth breaking the bank on those or are the l300s good enough?

I've noticed you shilling 660s for the past couple threads.... Do you even own them? Because I do and I dont even shill them. While I think they are the best in the hd600 line I dont think they are $200 better then the hd600/650 and I can't recommend them for $500

Attached: 20180305_205619.jpg (3264x2448, 2.78M)

yes i do own them

Attached: 20180616_172204.jpg (3264x1836, 1.13M)

thanks for the honesty user, I'm interested in getting the 600's and don't wanna kill my wallet

>the best in the hd600 line

Attached: 1402155233032.jpg (300x224, 17K)

at that price you need to actually listen to them before you buy either one lol
try to find a store to test them out, and make a commute/daytrip/vacation to test them

And do you believe they are worth $500?

>at that price you need to actually listen to them before you buy either one lol
lol with the stax you don't, you kidding me?

Friendly reminder

There is no "Perfect headphone" Only a headphone that best fits your preferred sound profile, ignore literally every single shill in the chat :)

nice mmcx.

>best 600s line headphones is secretly HD580
why did they discontinue them?

what if the user prefers the Koss over the Stax user? He'd feel like he wasted money

this isn't dynamic land where you need a complementary headphone or crap like user is spewing

you buy stax and then you either stick around to shill them to others or move on to a different hobby because you have little interest left in headphones

Attached: 28511428_1792777060735143_579993596_n.jpg (354x376, 15K)

honestly cant say because i got them for $300 and i havent tried the hd600 to compare

Detachable cable, sturdy build quality

Have had monoprice djs for a long time now, good sound and sturdy build. Not a fan of on-the-ear pads though, they hurt after long periods of time. Want to try bigger, over-ears headphones. Would prefer closed, but I guess semi-open would be a sacrifice I'm willing to make

Attached: file.png (728x846, 1.26M)

Also, should I go with my budget or save more to get higher quality/build? I'm keeping it at around 100 cause the monoprice djs were my first and those were like $30 so I'm kind of stepping up from that until I can afford more expensive cans

detach: m40x or pro 82
build: used dt 770.

save up for dt770 they are around $175

This guy is so anti-Schiit it's hilarious. He should make it less obvious if he wants to be taken seriously.

Attached: magni modi with q701.jpg (800x600, 256K)

>Argon user post stax shills go away.
Makes me think

Should I listen to amazon reviews? they say the build is not that good.

beyers are built like tanks.

So I got the T50rp today, I can't lie these do not sound bad at all for $150. First version of mods I think I'll try:
>ZMF lambskin pads
>me speakers leather comfort strap
>mayflower mod kit
>periapt cable
Might be gr8 might be shit only one way to find out. Open to other suggestions too.
>inb4 suggestion to just buy stax
I have stax fuck off, this is just a project for me because I'm bored.

If I love the HD 579s will I prefer the HD650s to the HD600s?

So if i got the l300 limited, could i just get the amp that runs the l300 (SRM-252S)?
