DISABLE HYPERTHREADING

Eating a burger whilst watching the speculating intel video.
Then I saw the latest posts.

I guess we should prepare our butts for a massive shill influx.

AMD is the Trump of processors.

I have i5-6600 and it doesn't even support that snake-oil

dunno what you think this thread is about

Intel plebs are going mad.

Making America(n Micro Devices) Great Again.

I was enjoying my sweet 8700k and still is.

This is so nice to watch.
I once went intel because I could.
Then they kept increasing CPU price (which was already high) and have you change MB for no reason.
1 year+ into Ryzen, it still looks like they have no answer.
It's bad enough, as it is, but still survivable with clockspeed.
Then you realize Zen2 will most likely be 12 cores (if not 16, but I doubt it)/5ghz boost, next year, and will work on B350/X370 boards.
Intel just has nothing new to bring to the front.
Even worse, they're getting into wield problems, when AMD is just sampling its CCX and basically selling them all.
Good luck Intel, you're fucked unless you adopt some kind of infinity fabric architecture.

favela monkey?

theverge.com/2018/6/15/17469022/intel-will-recall-all-cpus-from-2011

Don't worry, goys, partners will soon release 250Hz monitors soon, so you can delid/watercool/oc/void your warranty and feel good about spending too much moneyz on your config.

They should change their name to American Micro Devices and earn those patriotism bux

>Then you realize Zen2 will most likely be 12 cores
It won't.
People keep trying to meme that but it's not going to happen. Zen is 4core per CCX and that isn't going to change for Zen2.

5ghz though. That's no meme.

>5ghz though. That's no meme.
I wish that were true.

Zen+ is already doing 4.5ghz on multiple (but not all) cores with XFR2.

Yes. 4.5, not all cores. Silicon lotto winners might get 5GHz with a Zen2, but whether they'll get through 10 minutes of Prime95 is another matter. The Zen architecture's "walls" are too impenetrable for some reason. Fine chips, don't get me wrong (I have a R5 1600) - but if you're chasing niggerhertz, look elsewhere.

You're assuming die shrink from 14nm to 7nm will only net 500mhz?
I think you've been drinking some of that tainted kool aid.

>
Quick rundown?

It took Intlel from 250nm to 14nm to get from 3GHz to 5GHz. Learn some history.

It actually didn't. but sure m88.

Studying.

In my home watching Intlel get destroyed.

Trips wasted on saying "no ur wrong because I say so". Oh well.

EPYC 2 will 48 cores.
That means 6 cores per CCX.

Or it means 12 CCXs, funnily enough.

Buildzoid using rational and logical thought to completely quash Intel's fake news "28 core@5ghz" demonstration being passed off as a possible consumer product.

I don't think anyone with a working brain ever thought that was going to be a consumer product. Only hardcore Intlel shills ever pretended it was anything other than a hyperclocked Xeon.

>Had a haircut
OC potential gone.

Engineering skill is stored in hair.

at home watching my country wrecking kangaroo on my ryzen+nvidia-powered desktop

Basically, yeah. I still enjoyed the calculated explanation as to how stupidly far fetched and pointless the whole demo was.
Agreed. I was shocked to him almost looking like a respectable human-bean.

Another bug?

8(Eight) of them.
Disable hyper threading right now unless you have a specific need for it.

Oy vey. delet pls

Who let you out of your oven?

The oven was using an Intel CPU and speculated he was already done cremating but didn't check the security until after he'd already be released.

Only matters if you are on a laptop or some other wireless WPA compliant device, no sane gentooman would ever use something as crass and preposterous as wireless internet.

No, actually Intel is a white man's choice.

Same here. Feeling good about that decision.

I suppose that they will do it in that way - three CCX per die instead of two, each connected with each other via magic IF.

>tfw i've made $12000 over the past year by literally just investing in amd
I should have invested more

Jews are not white.

I miss the old "XY is kill" memes

>12 CCX
6 Zen2 dies

Excuse me wat?
If hyperthreading is active, wirelss is vulnerable?
Wife owns a goddamn macbook!

Watching this video made me think.
How long until Intel starts to post something like "7GHz turbo!!!1111*"
* -- under liquid nitrogen

BAD GOY YOU SHOULD SUPPORT CORRUPTION

In 2019 intel will be back on track.

INTLEL IS BURIED AND FINISHED

>I is enjoy my Intel

They might even be on par with AMD 2016. Meanwhile...
> AMD 2019

Im still skeptical changing to AMD tbqh

im just waiting for rumored 8c i7. coming from haswell

They'll avoid that last part until people call them out

Attached: AC UNIT.png (1920x1080, 2.04M)

wanking home like every other day, they dont even deserve my attention

Am I missing something?

>cheaper
>faster
>more secure
>runs exactly the same software
>still need convincing

This sort of mushbrain is why Intel spends so much on marketing and payola instead of r&d.

at school, watching the news broadcasts for the twin towers getting hit

or do you mean when intel got destroyed the second time?

krackattacks.com

Just bought an i7 8550u laptop.
there's no option to disable hyperthreading

oh well

hehe, just wait for the other 7 other under exploits under embargo to lift

Almost no chance.
12 CCX would imply they need to put 6 zeppelin dies on the same package with the same size constraints since it needs to fit into the same socket. Also it wouldn't make sense from a latency perspective and another reason they wouldn't want that is that Ryzen is limited to one zeppelin die and another octacore wouldn't be as nice as a 12 core cpu. Keep in mind that because of the same socket size constraints they can't put 2 zeppelin dies on a Ryzen chip.

So this probably means we'll get to see a 12 core Ryzen 3800X next year.

>Intel releases something that increases performance by 15-20%
>its kind of expensive
>6 months later AMD releases something with 1-5% better performance for slightly cheaper
>rinse/repeat
You idiots do realize you're being played like a fucking fiddle and that this is literally apart of both companies business/marketing strategies right? Never mind they incrementally release chips like 5 years behind what they're actually capable of, like some shitty anime villain incrementally increasing his powerlevel, but I'd be willing to bet that if one of them started actually going bankrupt, the the other would buy stock or assets to keep them afloat, because intel and AMD both need each other to survive and milk as much money out of you guys as possible.

Actual retards.

Yes that's right goys it's not just Intel, AMD are shit too might as well stick with Intel® Core™ Processors, the one you know. :^)

>intel losing half their threads to exploits
top
jej

>>Intel releases something that increases performance by 15-20%
On what fucking planet lmao
months later AMD releases something with 1-5% better performance for slightly cheaper
The Ryzen refresh was more than 1-5%

How enlightened did you feel posting this

What the fuchsia do I have to disable hypertension threading because those fucking Israeli kikes want to spy on people?

This just saved my week lmao
