Enjoy the nerve damage you degenerate. Vibrators should be banned, and all perversions and pornography and all sick filth out there.

I had one of those a decade ago. Sticky.

I hope you have cute programming socks to go with your setup, alice.

The one you solder out all the switches, put in your favorite box switches and lubed switches/stabs.

That's a reverse trap

We're just advanced animals you retard and nothing more. It's all the more reason not to default to our basic urges which are primal and lead to nowhere. I don't believe in God but at least religion helped inspire higher states of consciousness. Sexual activity extremely decreases prefrontal activity. You sit around masturbating or engaging in perversions, you're surrendering your recently evolved region, the one with pure autonomy, over to a stupid deterministic instinct. A waste of this limited life. You're just too low IQ to realize these processes. You are better off injecting heroin than letting masturbation and sex perversions ruin you. I've used opiates never injected but they were easier to quit than a masturbation habit.

I thought topres were just a meme and boy was I wrong. These were actually good to type on and those BKE heavys are super tactile, but bke lights are my favorite of the bunch

Forgot the pic
The thing about heavies is that because you need a lot of weight to overcome the tactile bump you end up bottoming out hard

lol what are ya, a desklet?

Wide as Hidamari Sketch wide.

Go ahead, tell me it's different than shitposting on 4chins, watching TV, playing vidya, etc...
>muh IQ
You know IQ points don't measure intelligence, right?
>perversions
The meaning of the word "pervert" literally just means to turn away from what's normal. The fact that you are here makes you not normal (statistically), should that simple fact mean that it's wrong to be here?
You have fun being celibate. I will enjoy my finite life by not limiting myself from jerking off once in a while.
See as well

Already happening

Nice get.

It's Australian shitposting at its finest
I actually got the chance to type on it, and it's a lot lighter then I thought it would be

dude, nobody pays attention to the op pic and this was the first one posted, bugger off.

Why are you so triggered

>abs

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

There are a few thousand dollars worth of artisans in that picture

Also as a side note, these switches are amazing. These are the closest you can get to bucking springs as a modern option

Attached: 20180616_144635.jpg (4032x3024, 3.22M)

Try some box navies then.

I doubt that, people were selling them for 20 bucks, and a few were 40
I tried all the kailh switches and I didn't like navies or jadies

>Magic key

Weird, but whatever floats your boat I guess.

Sane reaction to disgusting pic.
Plus this board is supposed to be sfw

Needs to be a toggle, preferably with a metal housing

kikes posting their degeneracy again I see.
go back to >>>/reddit/
don't want to see this shit here schlomo.
gas chambers can't come back soon enough.

It's the same issue with BKE heavies. They're super tactile, but the heavy weight makes bottoming out hard, and that's what makes it terrible to use

Attached: 20180616_145112.jpg (4032x3024, 3.59M)

>100g switch
huh.

The heavier spring in the navies helps with that I find. That or you could stuff a hako clear/true spring in it to really discourage bottoming out.

>ignoring the 280g switch
I don't blame you the lighting is terrible

For what purpose? They sound completely impractical on a keyboard and I'm amazed that there's enough of an autist market for a company to bother manufacturing them.

>tfw fkd a girl at her grandparents one night and she showed me a vibrator that looked like that
>tfw would have wifed her but she got away

Also I didn't know that the mounting mechanisms for beamsprings actually made a huge difference in the feel of the switch. The 3278 felt much better then the 5251 even though they both use the same exact switches. Or maybe IBM made two different versions of the beam spring
If I had to rank all the IBM made switches I would put beamsprings on top, they are top tier switches

Attached: 5251 Beamspring.jpg (4032x3024, 1.26M)

To put in whatever switch you don't want to actuate accidentally for whatever reason.

Usually get used on POS or industrial keyboards for that key you only want to press when you're really really sure

I think it's there for the memes since it's a chink switch.

>modern beamspring switch that's MX mount compatible never
Why even live?

>quad quads

It is possible to do it with an older beamspring, but I doubt anyone would make a modern clone since the mechanism is way too tall

Attached: 20180616_141845.jpg (4032x3024, 3.97M)

Should have added 'compact' in there as well. In a perfect world I could make a dactyl-manuform with beamspring switches.

My sister has a back massager just like that. Is it some kind of meme?

Also as far as alps switches go, I was kind of underwhelmed with blue alps, but that's proably because there were so many great clicky switches there, still better then anything cherry MX. But those brown alps are super tactile, they're slightly more tactile then orange alps, but the brown linear variant was nice and smooth

there was a guy that had this keyboard completely filled with cherry MX super blacks, which are around 150g, and it was a real chore to type on. I guess it's perfect for upvotes on reddit, or showing it off to your hipster friends

Attached: MX super blacks.jpg (3024x4032, 1.43M)

that's kinda hard since there are so many parts that require a lot of space. I tried a dactyl (non manuform) and I feel it sits too high to be really usable. I guess it would be better to mount it on the side of your chair so you can just drop your arms to their sides

Attached: 20180616_145129.jpg (4032x3024, 3.25M)

The most interesting part of the meetup was the professional stenographer that was there with their full set up. They had a bunch of steno keyboards there, but it was a real sight to see a professional type at 260+ wpm. They had a demonstration were someone stood up and starting talking while she was typing faster then he could speak. She also showed off how you can use a steno keyboard to code, and boy was it fast. People tried to stump her by having here write all sorts of things, but she had no problems even with weird words like crwth

Attached: 20180616_145629.jpg (4032x3024, 2.82M)

There is the alps platespring which is about as close as you can get to a compact beamspring. Maybe a platespring clone in mx mount isn't too farfetched.
>I tried a dactyl (non manuform) and I feel it sits too high to be really usable.
Could lower the desk or something.

Where we can learn steno?

there was a P70 at the meetup and alps plate springs don't feel anywhere as close to beamsprings. they get really mushy when you start typing fast

Two boxes
10 columns
9 rows
20 bucks each
= $3600

openstenoproject.org/
They had a bunch of setups with some people using laptop keyboards as steno keyboards. You'd be better of with something ortholinear, but as long as your keyboard has NKRO or supports QMK you're good. The lady that was there actually went to a school specifically to learn how to type, but there were more casual usesr that were there who could still type at 100+ wpm

Attached: 20180616_142829-min.jpg (4032x3024, 1.7M)

Also that profesinal set up costs several thousand dollars, most of the steno keyboards that were there cost around 60-80 bucks

Attached: stenography.jpg (741x494, 32K)

I know gmk keycaps get shit on for being ABS, but the quality and feel of them is amazing, even some of the shiny sets that were there didn't feel all that bad. I kind off now want a set of carbon keycaps

Attached: 20180616_143028.jpg (4032x3024, 3.64M)

If PBT is more your thing they also had those reverse dye-sub sets and they are sharp

Attached: 20180616_161517.jpg (4032x3024, 3.05M)

wow that picture is junk
I guess you'd have to take my word for it since the set was nice

Attached: 20180616_161521-min.jpg (3024x4032, 1012K)

Those legends are pretty sharp. Where can you get a set like that?

KBDfans sells them
kbdfans.cn/blogs/news/old-train-pbt-keycaps-sample
They have much better pictures then me, but I figured some people might be skeptical so a second source would be better

sorry wrong link
kbdfans.cn/products/all-over-dye-sub-old-train-pbt-keycaps

Thanks m8.

If 40% keyboards are your thing there were a ton of them there. I don't feel like dumping all of them so I'll just post a couple

Attached: 20180616_160850.jpg (4032x3024, 2.89M)

Attached: 20180616_172104.jpg (4032x3024, 3.34M)

Attached: 20180616_142343.jpg (4032x3024, 3.97M)

the fidget spinner keycap was there was well, and it worked surprisingly well

Attached: 20180616_142422-min.jpg (3024x4032, 1.24M)

a well worn in model M
They feel surprisingly smooth, even comparable to a model F

Attached: 20170408_144618.jpg (4128x2322, 1.9M)

The guy who runs the model F reproductions truly has autism, and that's a good thing. It may have been delayed a few years, but you can't rush perfection. These keyboards feel almost identical to their originals. Any slight differences you may feel are probably just variance due to age. This is probably the biggest project in the mech keyboard community

Attached: 20180616_164924.jpg (4032x3024, 3.34M)

who /thicc/ here?

Attached: thicc.jpg (4032x3024, 3.36M)

Nothing will be as thick as the old hall effect caps again. That said I'm using SA caps right now, and will be using these in a little over a month.

>Also that profesinal set up costs several thousand dollars
>it's a keyboard with unusual levers and keycaps, and a metal stand
Why

> Blue label SSK

Ha, pleb. Mine is a superior black label.

Its because specialty tools cost will always cost more. You know supply and demand

No, I don't. Literally the only thing about it that couldn't be custom made easily are the switches, and I doubt it costs literally thousands to make each set of them. Look at the reproduction Model F keyboards, it's a one-off production run and with all the metal casing and everything the guy got it down to a bit over $300

ITT: abject poverty.

Attached: 1528389510686.png (1503x714, 244K)

It's the cost of the software as well. You see with steno keyboards instead of typing letters you type sylabils and the software turns that into a word. Also there's the cost of labor, not to mention pretty much the only people that buy these are courts. So that's why the professional setup costs thousands of dollars. But as I said there is a small community that wants to make stenography affordable for all

Attached: Clackfactory skull.png (1179x531, 167K)

You're so naive
Take a look at these steno keyboards
stenograph.com/writers/luminex/
You see thanks to supply and demand courthouses will pay the $5000+ for one

Post the rest

>It's the cost of the software as well.
Isn't there free software that works just as well?

>courts
Actually yeah that makes sense, I hadn't really thought about the "demand" part of supply and demand.

>and they are sharp
Is this really why PBTm8s call sharp?

Attached: artisan_meme.png (673x208, 62K)

>20 bids
>Sold
>$1560 dollarydoos for a single keycap

The best part is that there was no free shipping

Free cad is free, yet people still pay thousands of dollars for an autodesk license for basically the same functionality.

PBT dye sub will obviously never be as sharp as double shots, but some of the chink stuff out there is horrendous, even on $40 sets

>Isn't there free software that works just as well?
Probably not. In any case, what is a court/pro going to trust more: a program made company that's been making steno software since 1992 or a guy's project on GitHub?

Those skull keycaps actually look like some bit of effort went into making them regardless of how ugly they look, but these blank keycaps always make me laugh at how much autists are willing to pay for a name

Attached: I'm blue.png (1205x531, 168K)

>Used

at least that one has free shipping, the one that sold for 1500 didn't, which I find to be even more hilarious

What is this thread about
meme keyboards nobody would use because they're not practical?
