I was young once.

You'll learn eventually.

Eh it's just non-critical games. I had a bunch of old 500GB Samsung drive laying about and thought RAID would be fun.

I considered noctua fans but these were half the price, plus I don't have a windowed case and nobody see's my PC anyways. PSU cables are warped from years of being in a shitty configuration. I re-did the cable management about a year ago.

Also windows 7 masterrace.

Let me guess. HP Pavilion Power 580-032w? I have the same thing with the same specs. Does your 1060 overheat a lot too?

HP Omen, overheats like a motherfucker

I would love to overclock my cpu a bit more but the vrm just gets too hot with anything above stock voltage.

Wow... almost nobody here uses Ryzen?
Guess intel is still the way to go?

nah ryzen is a okay cpu nothing worng with amd now.
t.intel user

Are you fucking me? Except I have a 1TB SSD and only 3TB of HDDs

Built my first pc, mITX mustard face:

ryzen 2600
evga 1070 sc
16gb 3200
500gb ssd + 2tb hdd
coolermaster g100m
thermaltake suppressor f1

Might have an issue with mobo compatibility though, so I'm taking in to the geeks at micro center today to let them figure it out lel

Desktop (for offline use)
AMD Phenom II X6 1090t
AMD R9 270x (Piece of shit, get Nvidia)
16GB of DDR3 1600
250gb ssd
1tb hdd

Laptop (For online use)
i5-2520m
Intel HD3000
16gb of DDR3
250GB SSD

All running Ubuntu Mate.
Old AMD cards are a mistake on Linux kids, but tiling windows and a real terminal are worth it.

I picked the 2600 because amd has had mid range 6c12t processors out for longer, so I figure they have a more robust platform. That plus the price point for latest gen cpu. Coffee lake just didnt make sense

i7 6700k
32gb ram
256gb sdd internal
500gb hdd internal
2tb hdd external
gtx 980ti

I'm between a 8700k and 2600x, 2700 or 2700x.
There is so much information out there and most of it is either tainted by "Intel is the best, so of course amd is shit!" and "AMD is the classical underdoog, sticking it to intel!"

Fuck I just want to get a CPU

Raspberry Pi 3

It is safer than your Intel and AMD machines.

My Government set high taxes on Import.
All CPUs available locally right now are Intel.
Simply, no choice.

Snapdragon 821
3gb ram
32gb+64gb drives

Core 2 Duo 2.80Gz.
Some integrated graphics card from Intel, can't be bothered to research it's specs.
8GB RAM, DDR2. Mostly because I like having a lot of tabs open.
500GB HDD.
And yes, this is my main PC.

Devil's Canyon user here. Ryzen wasn't even close to being announced or even rumored when I bought my CPU. Next one likely won't be Intel though.

Pentium G4560

I didn't even know my laptop specs until I discovered neofetch :(
