*Above. Fuck me.

i sure havent. im more tha happy with the 1080 monitor i have, anything larger seems to make everything too small to be useful.
also why go for 4k for gaming when its literally just a 2x SSAA

I have a GTX1080Ti. Sometimes I think about getting a 4K HDR monitor but then I don't know what I'd do with my old monitor which is still perfect condition and a nice display. Too lazy to sell it on eBay.

I use my x230 without and external monitor and I like it. It is fucking great and my eyes are happy too.

Can't imagine going back to anything less than my 27" 1440p. And I have a 960.

I have 3 screens that are 1080p with the middle one beint a 144hz screen where I game on.

1070TI, everything runs smooth.
Love it, I don't need 4k if it means lower fps.

I played around with a Dell XPS13 the other day (one of the bosses wanted help activating Office) and I was amazed with the display. It's super sharp and bright, anime looked great on it. Now I want a 4K monitor.

>tfw 27" 1440p 144Hz memesync display
Falling for memes never felt so good.

i just want crisp font rendering and high refresh rates on an HDR 1440p panel

why the fuck would you own a GTX1080 for 1080p

it's a card for 1440p and maybe 4k if you like 30hz

When did they start broadcasting anime in 4k

240hz monitors exist.

When you will struggle to run new games at 30fps on your 4k monitor on which u spent thousands with your gtx 1080 i will just play them just fine at 1080p

user... decent 4k monitors are available for less than one thousand burgers

I have a gtx1080sc and ended up going with a 27" 1440p IPS monitor, I absolutely love it. I'd take good colours and picture quality over a 144hz tn panel any day

This desu. I use mine mostly for learning machine learning or computer vision stuff anyway.

>And i have a GTX 1080
You would need a GTX 4000 to do anything on 4k anyways.

I was using dual 1440p for several years, then switched to a 4k and a 1440p, now i'm upgrading my secondary 1440p from 60hz to 144hz.

4k is better for media, not gaming since as you noted, the GPUs aren't particularly up to snuff.

But 4k documentaries? 4k movies? Well worth if you've got a large panel.

I'm still using two samsung 1080p 23" monitors from 2009.
I would probably have bought at least a 1440p one if they weren't damn expensive here in my country so I just said fuck it and went to waste money on more important things like a GPU etc.
I'm honestly never going to pay 2 1080tis in price for a 27" 4k monitor with shitty refresh rate. Fuck those tax niggers

the current 4k high refresh rate monitors are garbage tier anyway, on top of being a year late to market.

Just all around bullshit, not worth even half the price.

i feel for the 144hz meme

it's great

Me, and I have a 1080ti

1080Ti reporting in

Can't be fucked to buy a 144hz monitor when a proper one costs about as much as my PC.

1080Ti 4k panel reporting in.

Feels great man.

>new high end build
>3x HDMI ports on GPU
>keeping two 1080p monitors from previous build because budget
>4K TV connected also (it was impossible to buy non-ass non-4K TV)
>set TV output resolution to 1080p to match DPI with monitors
>mfw new top tier GPU still sends 4K signal with 1920x1080 desktop on top left corner
>mfw can't override it
>mfw it just werked on old build and GPU

I have a 1080 and a 1920x1200

I got a Samsung UHD 4k 3D TV for $200, so I'm not sure I "fell for it." 4k Netflix and gaming is fun, although content outside of those is limited.
