Sometimes I wonder why the LOST decoration crew think that an Apple II with an Apple III display was the way to control the Swan mainframe, instead of a real terminal, like a VT 220.
Yes, its autistic as fuck. That show really awaken the autism of everyone in its time.

had a guy pull out one of those in an exam where calculators were allowed
the TA that was supervising it had a laugh and called the guy a pretentious retard

An AMD processor.

It's not outdated if nothing better comes along.

I used to love my graphical calculator before I lost it ;_;

An old Dell using a Pentium 3, pretty comfy. Running Xubuntu and running some old games like Quake and Half Life.

Emulating a ps2 game called Shadow Hearts, it's pretty good. Started playing Neverwinter Nights and Underrail too.

My phone, Samsung Avila. Never had a smartphone or whatever those phones with Android are called these days.

An Athlon X2 5200 for older games

Probably your mom's asshole. I still use it for carnal pleasures and OC for /b/ regularly.

Asus EeePC running freebsd hosting an LP-MUD. Also a Casio keyboard from the 80s as a MIDI controller.

Yep. Standard fare.

I'll sometimes use a rock to shape limbs or drive stakes instead of walk 10 minutes back to my house to get a hatchet or hammer.

Not sure how much more outdated you can get.

Attached: 41SMFD72VML.jpg (389x262, 24K)

Sansa Clip+ would be the oldest thing I still have... I wouldn't call it outdated though.

I can't tell if you're a 50 year old wizard or a 20 year old hipster. Either way, comfy.

Probably the 320Gig Maxtor network drive I got years ago. Still going but slow. Can't upgrade because it's ATA.

this Burroughs desktop calculator from 1971. It's a license built clone of the 1969 Sharp QT-8D; first mass produced calculator to use ICs for logic instead of just a great haphazardly soldered together heap of transistors and diodes. As you can see from the photo it was designed when they were just starting to transition away from nixie tubes and hadn't quite worked out the optimal seven-segment design for a digital number display yet.

Hell yeah, MS-20 bro.

When going by date, Altair 8800, Apple II and a PET.

A laptop with a T7200
A laptop with a P8800
old casio graph calculator
A samsung galaxy note, the first one, so I guess by phone aging standards im like indiana jones
OH! I search things on physical encicplopedias, because those things are not subjected to change by overzealous SJW editors
what a shitty supervisor.
Sounds to me like the kids today that doenst want to learn how to add or multiply because they have a calculator at hand.

one day i'll fucking get one of these (the jap version tho)

That's a good question. All my tech is fairly recent. Most obsolete software I use is a desktop mail client. I have no good reason to use one. I just like them.

sblive+sidewinder

Nice analog iPod

It's the best a ps2 will look. Sorry you wasted money on a shitty old monitor :(

Out of literally no other reason than I had a huge tape collection and thought "fuck that shit" when CD's came along, and by the time playing music on my cellphone had become the norm, I was so set in my ways that I kept using it up until about 2 or 3 years ago. Still sometimes break it out for the comfi factor.

does my tv from the 60s count?

I fuckin' love the turbografx16. I have an everdrive for mine.

I don't actively watch anything on it, but I do use it a couple times a month to digitize oddball LD releases that never made it to DVD.

A 1970s Seiko 52 caliber mechanical watch. But it works just as well as a modern mid-to-high end mechanical watch, so I don't know if it is "outdated" so much as it's "old".

In terms of electronics, all my stereo equipment is from the 1990s. Sony stuff made in glorious Nippon. If we're strictly talking about computers, I still use my Thinkpad T500, which is almost 10 years old at this point.

I used to have a Technics (Panasonic) stereo receiver from 1975. I was really disappointed when it started crapping out a few years ago, I liked it better than the Sony receiver I have now.

Underrated console. I have a PAL-modded PC Engine (which, strangely, has it's original 60Hz mode if you take composite video out from the expansion bus at the back, not sure how that works), it was amazing what it was capable of given the hardware it had.

all of this, daily. top comf.

What's next, "just get an HDMI upscaler! it'll look and feel great!"

These

AMD64
IBM PC clone
Unix
>tfw can't run Inferno on a RISC-V machine yet.

1970s vision engineering dynascope.
it's better than a binocular microscope, but nothing like as good as the current-day stereoscopic mantis.

Linux

Because the DeGroots were hipster as fuck and all "namaste, let's be awesome to each other and then do crazy psychological experiments on people that think they're making the world a better place". Of course they'd use Apple hardware.

God damn that monitor is so aesthetic

LD's are fucking noice. Very nice, user.

hey louis

Is a trackball good for gaming?

It's old but I wouldn't call it outdated

Just bought the same one at a resale yesterday for $1.

no, they're measurably less killy than an optical mouse. but they're a reasonable choice when you've got a cramped desk, and they look SO cool (pic related)

if you want to lose in style you could also look into spacemice from the 1990s. you can connect the old serial port spaceorb360/spaceball4000/logitech magellan as six-axis usb joysticks in modern windows using open source orbotron9000, a $1 max3232 and a $5 atmega32u4 ardumeme clone.

20. He's still into Lain.

That's actually really nice, but how do you use the keys with two functions? Press them twice?

How much do you want for it? I'm being serious.

>L100

make sure you have an SK-8115 or SK-8135.
These are decent.
