No less underwhelming than any other iAppliance

It's a great upgrade from my iPhone 4S (second hand). I don't mind overpaying for hardware if it means the cost isn't subsidised by handing over my personal data. I fucking despise Microsoft, Google, and Facebook. Face ID is handy, Apple Pay is convenient, phone is powerful enough to do handle anything, camera is good, sharing tabs and passwords on Safari (macOS) is handy, Notes is good. No complaints really. Only thing I would trade it for is a completely open source phone with abosolute privacy, connecting to a global meshnet, destroyer of all botnets type thing.

Probably a decent phone hardware-wise but the software sucks.

Apple makes shit products and makes stupid design choices. I dislike iOS and find it too cumbersome to operate, a lot because of the sheer lack of options given.
Face recognition is not new, but it was presented as new. Wireless charging is not new, but it was presented as new. Lack of face buttons is not ne... I had/have these features in my Galaxy Nexus and G3.
Notch and rounded corners are dumb and ugly, and they just reduce the usable screen realestate. They seem like a downside, as well as the lack of headphones jack.

Oneplus 6 is better than iphone X and it's half the price.

It takes Apple 350$ to make the iphone X, and they sell it for over a thousand dollars
