How do I get a computer that won't have the NSA spy on me? Every Intel and AMD chip has a ME that allows direct remote access to your RAM, BIOS, OS, hardware, and can even boot your computer remotely. With all of the recent Intel security leaks over the last year, how do I get a machine where I have total freedom with it?

Leon3 is gnu/gpl, you can run into an fpga or get as asic.

Using an old cpu could be an option if you don't need much performance.

AMD reportedly now allows you to disable their ME. It is not clear wether or not it actually disables everything or what it disables. Not that verification matters when you have a billion transistors on a chip and it only takes a few to create your NSA backdoor in any stepping or new product launch. Hell, I'm sure NSA-like operations would pay you to implement their Backdoor IP's.

Easy, don't connect to the internet.

Just whipe my jizz off lel

Get a Mac SE/30 with ethernet in the PDS slot. Install NetBSD. Done.

A SPARC workstation basically.

Even if you have the safest PC, the NSA controls the network and will know everything you do on the net. Even tor isn't a real place to hide, as it has proven vulnerabilities that make it theoretically very easy to crack. And we know NSA's means are beyond any imagination.
