>fagOS
Found your problem.
windows went full retard and i can't use linux for job reasons
>must have apps?
pretty much everything you need is there by default
I unironically like macos. I can do all my command line garbage and still have commercial applications
>I don't know any Ctrl commands
>what do i use to replace MPC-HC?
IINA. It's pretty comfy. Also install brew + cask in order to have a package manager.
Other software I would recommend are Appcleaner, Onyx and OpenEmu.
MPV if you are not a faggot
>just bought a mac
>if you are not a faggot
+1 for IINA and AppCleaner
>2 hours in
Kek. There are no "must have apps" idiot, don't buy a machine unless you know exactly what you are gonna use it for. You better have other iDevices too, at least an iPhone... otherwise, you're just an idiot.
and if it is not there by default, too bad, deal with it
>BBEdit
>Transmit
>Affinity Photo
>Affinity Designer
Or just use emacs, command line, and steal Adobe CC.
I don't play videos that aren't on web sites, but IINA is supposed to be good.
Gentoo.
I installed a Hackintosh on desktop a couple of days ago. After about a year I have moved away from Apple products but I really miss macOS. It's so clean much better than the malware we call Windows.
It's ike Linux, but easy to use and there is actually software available.
fagOS is literally malware.
gnu.org
you mean like ctrl-alt-delete.
Yeah that's the most used "ctrl command" in windows.
MPV, iterm2 and anybar if you want to be productive
IINA best player
Fucking hell you insufferable faggot just secure wipe and install Debian and run windows in VM like i do
spectacle for windows management
sleep timer and amphetamine for automatically putting it to sleep or keeping it awake
karabiner for remapping caps lock to esc (useful if you use vim)
keka for decompressing files
omnidisksweeper if you want to see the size of folders without previewing them
Install Gentoo.
Get iTerm2, cDock, something like kwm if you're into tiling, karabiner, and keka
Macports or Homebrew?
Homebrew >
BASED
Homebrew has more stuff now, but if you don't brew update every week, it'll take take like 20 gajillion years when you want to install something.
write a cron like a normal fuckstick..
For a moment there I thought you took a screenshot of the iPhone home screen.
Mac OS itself it really nice. It's just that since 1998 or so, it's usually been paired with kind of rubbish hardware.
what VM do you use?
Is there a package manager that supports older versions?
virtual box with a win 7 VHD image from a real life machine .. also i have a snow leopard VM because its CUTE
that's why you hackintosh
What's do you believe is wrong with it?
jesus fuck 16:10 is a square-looking resolution
Man I really do wish netfab premium was cheaper per year, I just want to use the auto packing feature and the support gen
Spectacle is pretty nice.
I wish I knew of an alternative that does as much as Spectacle on Linux.
>2 hours in
>conclusion time
Nigger it will take you at least 2 weeks of full time use to get to know how to control macOS. If anyone said after 2 hours they thought Linux was trash everyone would fling shit.
>source is Richard Stallman
Thank you for the kek.
I have an iPhone, iPad, and AppleTV
>I'm a faggot
Good to know
what is this interface?
does fagOS starts copying GNOME shell?
Xcode + cmd line utils (bundled)
Atom/VSC or an ide of your choice.
Iterm2
And lastly, homebrew.
BTW if you sign into the app store you can get older versions of xcode.
Must also advise against downloading/using "cover" as it can brick your mac and some programs are known to be bundled with it..
I wouldn't touch onyx unless you really had to. It can break your install pretty easily.
clover***
homebrew and some window manager
It's the other way around, friend.
The linux desktop has been attempting to copy MacOS for a very long time.
Especially gnome.
Don't listen to this dummy. Stock WM is fine. Just learn to use your menu bar, all applications integrate into it.
that was quite a preamble for a support request
Don't know if you are aware, but your autism is showing.
nice leddit spacing there
give me some examples
because this is the first time I see GNOME shell like interface in fagOS
while GNOME shell is realeased in 2011
apparently gnome shell was release april 6, 2011 and os x launchpad july 20, 2011
en.wikipedia.org
en.wikipedia.org
lion and launchpad were previewed in 2010
in a keynote or something?
I would do this but battery life on Linux is intolerable.
I've switched to Win 10 LTSB which is decent. macOS really runs like shit, even if having ta Unix terminal and commercial app is good.
Yeah. Probably the first keynote from where it all went downhill.
so OSx had this full screen activities/applications view (as refered in GNOME shell) from the start?
this is first time I saw it
screens from the web does confirm this
wtf... I hate GNOME now
Macos had it then microsoft and everyone else copied it.
No window tiling/snapping makes this shit OS unusable.
>"everyone else"
Literally no other DE copied that shit. Mate, Xfce (currently using), KDE... None of them have it because it's a shit feature.
btt fixes that
