setting up LUKS and dmcrypt is easy sure, but it's very hard to remember the syntax for a proper encryption setup.
Anything I can't do without an internet connection is something I can't use.

When I tried it out, it booted in less than 10 seconds, debian is taking more than a minute because systemd autistically requires all network interfaces to be raised. Plus, compared to deb, there's no bloat in dependencies themselves. (Installing GTK won't install a theme, etc)

firstly I had to went through the maze to find testing iso with nonfree firmware
the live cd failed to boot into desktop gui (same with devuan)
the graphical installer failed to install with error, but only after wiping my disk
maybe I have some defective failing hardware or something, ubuntu however works
