GNOME
XFCE
i3 makes the most sense to me
macOS
Favourite: i3.
Least favourite: gnome, because it's bloated and the devs seem to want to force their weird ideas upon everyone. Literally the nvidia of desktop environments.
Recommended: Xfeces, because I wouldn't recommend a tiling WM unless the person specifically asked for one, but then I couldn't really recommend i3 because I haven't tried any other tiling WMs.
Pretty much the same. But I like gnome.
The one I dislike is KDE.
Everyone give FrankenWM a try. I used it on my old Debian install and it was quite comfy. Even lighter than dwm if you can believe it
bspwm
openbox
i3-gaps
dwm. suckless
Just got a new machine and wanted to get back into i3gaps but I keep having graphics issues. Decided fuck it after a few days of chipping at it, but I should really get back into it. That wm is seriously nice to use.
i3wm
awesome
i3wm
favourite: wm
least favourie: gnome, looks like a tablet OS. "start" menu covers the whole screen and half the software installed is not shown and tucked away.
I would recommend KDE or Budgie.
*favourite: i3(no gaps)
im sleepy, I know the other half of post only mentions DEs, but fuck it.
