The great big 3.
The great big 3
in terms of popularity on Jow Forums yes, but the big three are really Debian, Slackware and Redhat
lol at Arch being in the big 3.
>ubuntu
>mint
>manjaro
the truth will set you free but first it willnpiss you off
1. Tails (Seriously guys? Do you seriously don't have Tails installed in fucking 2018 where it is known to everyone that the US Government is spying on every person in the world?)
2. Arch (Good, clean and customizable)
3. Kali (Because fuck it, I like hacking stuff)
>Slackware
Lol no sweetie, that's a boomer distro
Only Arch is big, in the sense that its users are landwhales.
Two systemd botnets and a Linux distro
NixOS >>> your degenerate and dumb distros.
Except Gentoo, he's an okay guy.
gentoo is just a meme
This is true if we're talking about the Linux Elder Gods.
Current top 3:
1. Fedora
2. RHEL
3. CentOS
Red Hat, SUSE, Ubuntu
Everything else is completely irrelevant.
>SUSE
>relevant
keking desu
Gentoo is great, portage is god-tier, the only issue is everything takes a fuckton of time to do. Debian is bloated and contains a fuckload of deprecated shit. Arch is bloated and contains a lot of unstable shit. Gentoo is the happy medium, but portage isn't a binary package manager, and it's a lot to manage build flags.
portage is slow python garbage, they should really rewrite it in c or some language that isn’t such a slow piece of shit
They make hundreds of millions a year.
>Slackware
literal boomer distro
>debian for retards
>ubuntu for retards
>arch for retards
aren't you an intellectual
>Tails installed
>installing a distro meant for live use only
>Kali (Because fuck it, I like hacking stuff)
kys
>Debian is bloated and contains a fuckload of deprecated shit
>Arch is bloated
the absolute state
Then why is it such a piece of shit
>unironically using arch linux
>Lol no sweetie
found the plebbitor
Debian, Ubuntu and Arch are for retards too
Debian sure, it is the base for many other distros and sees some professional use too. But the others are for elitists with no life.
Debian, Redhat/Suse, whicheverispopularatthemomentandtriessomethingnew
It's compiled Python, so decently fast. Some parts are running as native code as well, as per the native-extensions USE flag. The amount of time taken to compile most packages makes Portage's slow dependency calculation mostly irrelevant too.
So true OP
