What UI problems? Yalp is perfectly usuable and one of the most effective alternatives to GP store out there.

It doesn't have the material UI cancer that some folk can't live without

Look at , then compare it to yalp. Yalp interface doesn't separate anything properly and it doesn't take advantage of the screen space. Not to mention it lacks any gestures for navigation. It doesn't properly load software images. All of it's actions are separate processes in the task manager, example you searching for something will bring another window with the results. This means navigating on it, going back and such, is clunky as fuck. And trying to search for the same (and sometimes similar) string again doesn't do shit, it just assumes it's loaded so you have to clear the window from recent tasks. Plus, updating or installing is a pain sometimes because the app randomly decides it's finished downloading the apk when it's not and it fails to install, requiring you to go back and hit the install button again so it continues downloading the apk.
Using it feels so shit that I just gave up and started using fdroid and avoided play store. Thank fuck someone made Aurora, it's infinitely better.

I agree that yalp does have some of these issues.
